Resident Evil 6

has your opinion on this changed over time?

On the start I was thinking that this game is terrible. Now I think that it's so bad that it's good, like Uwe Boll's video game movies.

never thought it was bad

Still Giraffe blowjob

No. Then again I played it way after release.

Good game horrible RE game. I quite liked those missions where other players intersected with yours. Wish more games did that

Remove the RE branding and it would be loved.

it's an irredeemable piece of shit that would immediately be forgotten if it wasn't for the RE ip

make e\the skill system have interesting abilities and switch infinite ammo to a toggle like 5 and the game would be infinitely better

It's pretty mediocre. Leon's campaign is ok but it's downhill from there.

Is it worth playing through couch Co-Op?

Another thing that would have been nice is different costumes for the campaign. Seriously this has been a thing since the very first game. Why they didn't put it in in the campaign is beyond me. Would have been fun playing with the low poly costumes in the campaign.

nah, it's still shit

If you can get it cheap, and just want some campy action game.

Was put off by the initial reviews and also by RE:5 being a bit meh.
Probably won't ever get it desu. Just watch a playthrough of it one day if I ever felt really inclined to it.

>still no purely Mercenaries game that isn’t stuck on the 3DS

Camera could've been better, and clothes could've been lewder. I like Helena's butt, and boobs. And there's some good bro moments in the game.

Playing through it for the first time over the past week and have enjoyed it for the most part. Jake's campaign has been a bit shit but I'm yet to finish his final chapter

Yep. Before you do that though, do go look up a video for how to do all those action movie moves that the game never fucking teaches you. The game plays way better when you're not just shooting and using the utterly weak basic melee.

cover looks like a giraffe receiving a blowjob

I liked it, i guess, but I've never been hugely nostalgic on RE in general.
it ad a lot of fun ideas, but had trouble bringing them together as a whole.
each character having different mechanics was nice, but the campaigns needed to be broken up a bit more.
crossovers were on the right track, Ada's were good, but the others but needed more mechanics so it didn't just feel like replaying the same level again.
Agent Hunt is great. more games need it. does any other game apart from Perfect Dark have this?

>The game plays way better when you're not just shooting and using the utterly weak basic melee.
Going full Wesker as jake is the saving grace of the game as well as hospital gown sherry

In a manner of speaking. I tried it when it was new-ish and hated it after playing for 2 minutes. Gave it an honest shot a few years later and I still hate it, but at least now I also lament that it isn't better as it absolutely has potential. Capcom just dropped the ball on realizing it.

cool shooting and movement mechanics are wasted when there aren't levels that utilize them well.

Why not just play 6 as a purely mercenaires game? It has enough maps and characters and also no mercy and even l4d2 characters.

I'm not sure whether you're agreeing with me there or not, user. By basic melee I meant the rubbish standing melee combo against an unstunned enemy.

Ada is absolutely everything that is wrong with the story. If the director wasn't an obvious adafag and she didn't have a role in the story Leon's story would have been much better.

gameplay good story shit

simmons is probably the most boring villain in a resident evil game. but however corny it is i absolutely adore the concept of wesker and birkin's kids teaming up to fight BOWs

maybe being the guy who nuked a city is more impactful in japan that it is for us.

i don't think so, but that just goes to show you how weak of a villain simmons was. the dude t-virus nuked an entire god damn city and still isn't memorable in the slightest.

in hindsight, the chinese C-virus is mildly amusing

Always hated the hell out of it because of the meh RE5, and how much RE6 seemed to deviate from the lore even further. With unnecessary characters returning like Sherry, and new annoying characters like Jake and Pears, I hated the game with a passion, especially that at that time, Capcom hate train was going full steam ahead and rode that train.

A couple of friends decide that they wanna play RE6 competitive mode with the PC release so I bought it and loved it mechanically, never touched the campaign.

Years later, I wanted to play a coop game after playing EDF with my friend, so we played RE5, and we both loved it, it wasn't amazing, but it was lots of fun.

So naturally we moved to RE6, I can't believe how amazingly fun this game is, it's mind blowing, quickly becoming my favorite resident evil in terms of gameplay and level design, realizing how retarded I am listening to the internet.

I still hate 5 with a passion for basically being RE 4.5 with everything worse and ruining all the lore at the same time, but that won't deny me from the fun that be had.

>> tl;dr
Hated RE6 when it first came out.
Playing it later made me realize how stupid I am for just listening to the internet.
