It's most likely not happening at this point. Expect a 2024 release around the same time as PS4.

No but on PC we had the double durability bug on DS2 because they foolishly didn't check the PC version for bugs.

It's the only game I had to actual cheat in to beat

This is correct, the ds2 port was a travesty.
But the entire game suffered from poor management and bad decisions across the board so chalking it up to console development doesn't really make sense.
I do see how games would benefit from being developed without restrictions, but DS2 would probably end up a mess anyway.

sadly the opposite is true, he was against including online components and PvP in DeS, the publisher forced them to.
Luckily they came up with something unique and great as a result.
