Cannot decide between 1080p 144hz or 4K 60hz for my main monitor (with the premium on 1440p144 in my country atm i'm not willing to spend that much)

4k is till meme
i'd take the superior refresh rate any day

if the 4k seems expensive to you right now then it is. There are companies still releasing better models of 4k each year and eventually it will come to a point where you can get a good monitor that is 4k 144hz at a good price. Just wait

1440p 144hz is the only non-meme answer

Agreed. Have FHD 144hz Gsync. Way more worth it and much cheaper than technology that is still in it's infancy.

this

144hz will blow your mind. 4k won't

4K isnt expensive to me right now, inm my country 1080p144 and 4k60 are the same price, its 1440p144 that has an insane premium on top of it

go 4k 60fps
it's the industry standard
anything else is a meme

This especially on a 27".

>4k

you got 2 2080Tis in SLI? if not 1440

Just bought a 144hz 3440x1440.
Recommend me some game brehs

crysis warhead

Doesn't Warhead suck compared to the main game?

>27"
>1080p

what did he mean by this?

optimum gaming monitor is following specs
>IPS
>144HZ
>1ms response
>freesync/g sync

and either 1080P 23-25" or 1440P 27-29"

no its much better

Does a 1080p 144hz IPS HDR monitor exist?

Can't find one with everything.

Nah it's the best game out of the franchise.

27in 1080p is fine for a second monitor as long as its 144hz matched with main imo. currently have 32in 2560x1440p 144z main with 27in 1080p secondary, pixel density is fine

>what did he mean by this?
Depends of the distance

Asscreed Origins is amazing in 3440x1440
The game has perfect support for it and looks georgeos.

>IPS
>1ms response
keep in mind that most companies advertise MPRT 1ms instead of GtG 1ms which is marketing bullshit.
few IPS monitors have real GtG 1ms and they're all unusable in that mode thanks to insane inverse ghosting

You may not like it but 4k is the standard for the next gen consoles.
High fps will always be a meme.

>anything under 1440p minimum
>anything under 100Hz minimum

>144hz
meme
>IPS
another meme
>HDR
holy shit user are you going for the full meme setup here?

>anything under 4k
poorfag

>consoles

HDR is only worth it if you're spending 2000 bucks and up. Best is to wait until it gets cheaper.

Consoles set standards for PC gaming, this is how it always was.

VA and TN colors are cringe. HDR is amazing when implemented correctly (looking at you dumb Jap devs).

4K monitors are the biggest rip offs for vidya. They only value comes from work related benefits. 4K TVs are fine, but for a monitor, you don't need more than 1440p.

they do exist but the HDR is shit on those. HDR is only worth it on expensive TVs with consoles since HDR game support on PC is very limited

>They
Their*

1080p 144hz is better unless you are buying a 40" monitor

Actually no, the low end PC hardware set standards for PC gaming because all multi-platform games are designed for most popular low end hardware first, and simply scaled up for high end hardware later.

Ultrawide with 144hz

Get an IPS 1080p 144hz, like the AOC 24G2 or 27G2 (personally I have no issues with 1080p 27")

>Ultrawide
Literal meme that will cause issues when games don't support it

>still haven't left 1080p@60Hz comfy zone
>consoles still can't even achieve this in 2020

Attached: 91RSTSJrm5L._AC_SL1500_.jpg (1500x1000, 297.47K)

but it good for multitasking tho
