I was wondering about the customizable items. If you customize an item with a pattern, and then put it on someone else's island, do they get the item with the custom pattern on it even if they don't have the pattern themselves? So you can technically have more patterns this way if you coordinate it with someone?

I wish they'd have written more dialogue in general, I used to run into stuff I'd not seen all the time on the gamecube version and I've been playing NH for about a month for rarely more than an hour a day but I still see repeated dialogue all the time

My Tucker seems to always hang out near my house, even though it's the other side of the town. Perhaps villagers have different areas that they frequent and different activities that they do that are somewhat random for each

Yeah, there seems to be "hobbies" that certain villagers are more inclined to do than other things. I think they are still capable of doing all the actions, it's just that some are more common. It really gives the villagers a lot more personality.

Although I do suspect that different lines of dialogue are coded to play for only specific villagers within personalities. But I haven't confirmed that yet.

Not the user who posted but, for example: I have Audie and Puddles, both are peppy but Puddles is more focused on being a musical idol and Audie in fashion.

There's a surprising amount of items you can customize.

If you look in the code they have actually written an absolute fuckton of dialogue but for some reason they programmed the game in such a way that contextual dialogue repeats a lot more often.

I'm sorry you couldn't sell. next time it spikes like that I'll close the gates with 10 minutes to go so that whoever is on the island can sell without stress. I wasn't able to make it to the gates, left it too late, its my fault.

In relation to this, I have both Broccolo and Tucker in my village as my lazies and they both do completely different activities, Broccolo seems to walk around the beach more and in general is more active than tucker, while Tucker prefers to hang around in flower fields and sits down allot more
This is really cool, I might start taking note of all the specific "hobbies" my villagers have

Not sure, but I don’t think you can drop custom designed items on other peoples islands. Atleast I know you can’t mail them.

I was less bothered about the cut furniture when I realized how much customizable stuff there was. I hope they add old furniture back in, but there really is a significant amount of possible combinations with all the customization options in the game. (Still annoying that some items are arbitrarily not customizable, though.)
