The same reason why main characters all have slim, pointed noses. Nobody likes round and bulbous ones, just like nobody wants to look at acne.

Poor face wash can actually worsen your skin by drying it out, clogging your pores with ex. parabens etc. Normally you can get away with washing morning and night with lukewarm water and applying moisturizing cream. Fun fact, switching your pillow cover to one made of silk can do wonders alone.

But if we don't recognize it as an attractive flaw, we get trannies like the one for The Last Of Us 2
