ITT: Vidya Protagonists you felt like shit for

I mean, seriously
>Inherited mental illness from her mother
>In a time where psychological care wasn't even really thought up
>Abused by her father, exacerbating her issues
>Turned towards her mother for safety, who her father killed via immolation because she protected Senua
>When she found a BF that helped her issues somewhat, he got killed by Vikings via a fucking Blood Eagle, which is probably one of the worst fucking ways to die. Ever.
>Goes on nightmarish psychological journey because of this
>Still not free of her problems
Fucking lord.

That Trial where you're walking around blind and there's things in the darkness scared the heck out of me. Been doing a replay, and am not looking forward to that at all.

>Tfw you're just another voice in her head guiding her on the journey.

desu that's all pretty fucking metal

Steins ruined me, I expected him to dip his dick in every girl and get a diabetes inducing happy ending. Nope.

I mean, what's there to add really.
You have Raziel from Soul Reaver and Defiance who has been lied to and manipulated over the course of the three games.
When he learns what's really going on he just assumes its another deception and he's getting lied to, his death ultimately happens all the same he just comes to terms with it (and plays the key role in fucking over the wheel of souls).
Desmond like suggests gets fucked over by two civilisations at the same time and his corpse is abused so the new games can happen. That is a plot point.

This game keeps coming back at me when i search vr supported games, is this game any good?

she's my waif
fuk off

im worried about the sequel, there were vikings and giants in the trailer so it makes me think its not gonna be a psychological journey like the first game
shut up

>Supposed to be a Pict
>Speaks with English accent

I see no problem with this.

That's like saying you'd have no problem with an English character having a thick Glaswegian accent baka.

Yes but that's because it sounds hilarious.
Like the character is desperately trying to be English. Something like an uncle Rufus.

I think the first game fully explored Senuas own relationship with her mental illness and not much further progress could be made with that. There's only so much self-actualization you can do with overcoming your own traumas.

I see the second exploring the idea of how people will treat her and how she deals with that and killing vikings. Stuff like if killing people is bad or what not. Nice contrast to assasshit valhalla

The worst part is, you know that if they had stuck to their original idea, he would've survived by having 16's subconscious die instead, leading to a modern day asscreed like they'd been teasing.

Unironically.

If the story is so serious, why is her design so goofy?
She looks like the Monkey King from Journey to the West.

>introduce BIG sister
>make her a nagging mother hen
>show through interaction she's just worried about her adoptive brother and loves her family
>have her interested in the mc
>have her route be one where he shacks up with her and their younger siblings
>reveal that that physical person is actual dead
This game was a hell of a ride, but it did not spare any punches.

I want that timeline.
I want it so deeply.

Because its still a fantasy game.
In a more literal sense than others.

It wouldn't have stung so bad, if they hadn't teased that shit for 4 friggin games. For 4 games I believed he was gonna be worth something and I'd get to run around as him. Hell, they even took the time to finally flesh out his backstory in the previous game. All that just to watch him die.

Futaba from Persona 5. She watched her mom commit "suicide" in front of her, she was then read her suicide note which pinned it all on her and was then disowned by her family because of it and as a result she had to live with a really shitty uncle until she was adopted by her mom's friend and she became a shut-in who had hallucinations, only to find out her mom was really murdered and the note was faked.

I share your feels user.

I never hated him, thought he was a bit bland sure but I figured since the first game it'd eventually end with him doing his part in the modern day.
But then he's basically given the option of being Jesus or dying, so he dies and given a super jolt though the system because the previous era people are all massive twats.

I am greatly disappointed. I don't even think he gets to be an Animus ghost.

The whole deal with that was they were originally going to pull a harry potter. When 16 grabs him in the animus desmond glows, when desmond wakes up his right hand is glowing, which one did he touch the sphere with? They had it all set up to revive desmond and they just threw him away like an old toy.

Explain

They should've made one pupil more noticably larger than the other. The one in this poster shows it's slightly that way but just a bit bigger would give a better crazy vibe and make the character look more iconic.
