9 interconnected games (only 8 currently localized) with decent worldbuilding. You get invested in the world and the characters; even the usually nameless NPC villagers are given names and subplots

idk, tried getting into the game and got bored, everything felt slow and meaningless

I'm nearing the end of Trails SC and honestly FC was much better. For those that don't like how trope-y and cliche it is, not sure what to tell you. It feels like playing an animu, cliche characters, plot, and all, but I've enjoyed it. And if you don't like Estelle, do yourself a favor, go ahead and drop the game. Music is top notch, though sometimes a tad repetitive when needing to revisit an area multiple times. It's certainly worth the listen even if you don't like the game or whatever gripe you may have.

All the text and detail in the world is meaningless in these games because NONE of it is original. It's all ripped off other games and animes.
They're not bad games, they're just the epitome of lazyness and ripped off ideas, not just in terms or the narrative and "world" but all of the bloody mechanics and systems are ripped off other RPG;s that came out previously and did them better.

I bought the games half-off so I'm still going to finish them at some point but I can't say I like FC as of the third chapter. I don't really dislike it either since unlike the Xeno games the anime bullshit isn't incredibly grating and the combat/orbment system is merely bland instead of actively boring.

What xeno games are you talking about? I've never played the saga series but gears, blade 1 and blade X are not incredibly anime bullshit at all and the anime bullshit in blade 2 still is no where near the levels of the trails games, you fucking retard

and I've played through all the trails game and would consider myself a "fan" though I don't love them
