Paladins, probably because I spent like 3000 hours on it a few years ago. It's a great fantasy artstyle with basic WoW style art and maps, and shooter gameplay so it's not dull.

They never fixed them did they?

I love pixel art. However pixel art from old games where the sprites are meant to be displayed on a CRT monitor are outdated and won't look right on LCD monitors.

>tetsuya nomura
>kazuma kaneko
>kenji watanabe
>as'maria
>suzuhito yasuda
>takehito harada
>james turner
>tomomi kobayashi
>ryuta ueda
>yuji uekawa
i also think the kirby series and trails of cold steel have nice art direction.

Here's the comparison, though the look is emulated using MAME with HLSL enabled. Whether or not this is accurate is beyond my judgement because the last time I touched an arcade cabinet was when I was a kid. So I don't really have a reference.

if you can't even admit that nomura is a great artist, you're blinded by hate.

ive been meaning to play it eventually, thanks user

I think it depends on the game though and whether or not you're playing at native resolution or not. Something like Killer Instinct on native SNES hardware for example really wont look good at all when hooked up to an HD TV.

Probably Hidari's aesthetic for FE Echoes of Valentia.
They should use their gachabrain bux to sign him on as the artists of the series, it fits too well imo.

Akihiko Yoshida is max comfy artist.

Scott Cawthon's older stuff perfectly replicates those beautiful 90s CGI renders and they're glorious to witness.

this looks sweeet

Yep, it's from The Desolate Hope, free on Steam. Scott's a bit of a weaker animator but his visuals are just divine.
