it' really that bad????
It' really that bad????
When it first came out, it was way better than the handheld games but had less going for it than the PS2 games. But now with the patches and the DLC it can stand with 1 & 2.
I think there's a sale on PS4 going right now if I'm not mistaken.
It didn't need to exist
If you love cutscenes, you'll love this.
It's not horrible, just painfully mediocre and obviously didn't live up to the monstrous hype surrounding it. As a KHChad since 1, it hurts man.
It's better now than it was on release. Gameplay is a lot smoother and more enjoyable.
Worst KH game in terms of story though.
the gameplay is very fun, but the story was shit
People say ReMind fixed a lot of stuff, but it still isn't nearly as good as the 1st and 2nd game. I enjoyed III for what it was and appreciated it, but it didn't capture the magic and passion I felt when playing the first and second game.
It's not bad but it just didn't live up to the hype.
Waiting for the DLC to drop below $20 before I try it again
No, it's far worse. The DLC does nothing to fix it, either. Ignore those retards.
yes this series should have ended at 2. it had a good ending
It's cause you were 13 and gave yourself an organization name.
No, it's actually pretty good.
>Hurr it's cause you were younger
I mean, probably? That wasn't my point though. I genuinely didn't find III to be as good as one and two. Don't know if age was a factor in all honest.
Also remember you were anywhere from 8-14 when KH1 released. Over fifteen years of waiting coupled with the fact that you're a lot older and the magic of Disney isn't what it used to be...it never could have lived up to your memories.
Combat is good because you have fun options and interactions. Some say it felt floaty but I didn't notice it. However it was way too fucking easy even on hard mode. The Disney Worlds felt inconsequential and soulless in the game's context. There were some great moments filled with Disney spirit but for the most part they're kinda meh. Story is awful. You run around like a retard searching for a power you *drumroll* lmaooo already had and when that is found out the game is quickly and shoddily wrapped up.
Exploration and visuals are where the game shines the brightest. It's beautiful to look at and the worlds are done better than ever in the series.
Play it if you're a fan. If you're not a fan, consider playing KH1, CoM (or just watch a plot synopsis because the game's combat is ass and you run around instanced rooms in between actually meaningful moments) and KH2. And then stop there. The rest of the series didn't happen.
I played them all for the first close together and 3 was brilliant. This negativity is just another case of
>old good
>new bad
CoM on gba is amazing
Oh alright. Only played the new CoM and I dislike it
>it never could have lived up to your memories.
You understand that people have replayed the series before 3 came and can compare it to how they experienced 1 and 2 with a more current mindset, right?
Yeah the new one fucked it up i would suggest emulating the GBA version its really fun.
You sound retarded. I have replayed KH1 and 2 so many times and 3 does not hold up well because its inferior in storytelling and gameplay. The series should have ended at 2 and most KH fans share this opinion for a reason. 3 is just milking the series harder than the spin offs did. It was supposed to finish the story that people have been wanting a conclusion for but instead nomura just keeps dragging us on.
That cliffhanger felt like a slap in the face after the weak final hours. I felt insulted
I've never understood that argument either. There are obvious issues with 1 and 2 that I recognized even as a child, but I can still say they were a lot more effective in carrying out their plots than 3.
it's good but not great, second half of DLC and the two post-game keyblades are great
I played it unpatched and had a blast, but felt underwhelmed when it was over. I played ReMind but didn't start a new save post-patch so I only saw the alternate ending and didn't see whatever game-changing stuff the patch had to offer.
I still think KH2 is better, but I wouldn't call KH3 a bad game.
It’s just not that good. KH2 was one of my favorite games ever, largely because of nostalgia but also the story was fun despite being out there, it’s characters were mostly entertaining, and the combat was exceptional. Kh3 has a worse story that’s a convoluted mess filled with retcons, the combat is fine but repetitive (so was KH2, but the commands felt like they had some weight even if you were just mashing x), and the characters are bland and boring for the most part.
Also the Disney worlds despite being gorgeous in KH3 often had very little to do in them that felt meaningful.
It wasn’t a bad game but as someone who was looking forward to it for years, it didn’t have the replayability or staying power that KH1 and KH2 had. I played some of the spin-off games, they were meh but they were spinoffs so whatever.
Also the DLC making me spend $30 to just repeat the ending sequence left a sour taste in my mouth.
>Sora is no longer a virgin
This is the best timeline
That's just not true, the line delivery and character interaction is so robotic. The cutscenes are fucking terrible
>I've never understood that argument either.
Rearded zoomers who watch speedrunners and think the DLC fixed 3 and made it a great game. That's literally it.
or maybe people were just disappointed that
>old good
>new not much better
after waiting 13 years for another numbered console entry?
Yeah, I've been playing it now that it is on GamePass and it's absolute garbage, it never fucking lets you play for more than a couple of minutes before it bombards you with another 15 minute cutscene.
It's a KH game with a higher budget so if you like KH you're going to like KH3. All 3s really done is show the difference between actual fans and secondaries shitposting.
yes it’s terrible. so many cutscenes. plot makes no sense. donald and goofy are unbearable. combat is floaty bullshit that is never satisfying. the game gives you tons of “action button” moves that are ridiculously OP and make everything easy. I played for about 8 hrs then couldn’t do it anymore. it sucks
I just want this shit to end. Maybe Nomura will finally wrap the series up in this new game with Yozora or whatever his name is. I am not really "excited" to know about what hes doing next. If he gets to Versus XIII he will end the series. I just want less disney shit and a more serious story tone. If he gives us that in Yozora's game I wont mind it. But if its just Yozora going to disney worlds he can fuck off
Bait. Been around since the first game. Didn't love KH3 at all
You could always try FFVII Remake. That's got some KH in it.
I'm going through it now for the first time. Currently in Frozen world
Like:
>Nice to have mainline gameplay again with only bits and pieces of side games as enhancers instead of overly distracting gimmicks (shot lock, dream eater summon)
>Form changes for each keyblade
>Three keyblades equipped at a time
>Forge means early tier keyblades can be good throughout the game
>Three shortcut sets for 12 options total
>Full party with guest characters
>Magic can change depending on form changes (defensive rings or multi bullets for example)
>Water element (first one to have it I think)
>Pixar movie worlds fit with the graphical bump from the standard PS2 style
>Generally quick movement
>People populating places like Twilight Town and Thebes gives them some proper life
>Gummi space exploration is nice (still prefer 2's Star Fox style missions with its soundtrack)
Dislike
>Some worlds feel like hallways despite their greater size of seamless areas (Tangled & Monsters Inc. come to mind)
>Since I'm here for the finale, most of what's happened in the Disney worlds feels like filler (strange to say given the series' origin but they've built up the OC story and characters so much it's an unfortunate side effect)
Not sure if I'll get the ReMind DLC.
>not much better
That would imply that it was still a little better, which is wasn't. Combat still managed to be worse than a game 15 years older, and the story was fucking garbage. What was there to be happy about? That it finally came out?
More like you played the first game one time when you were twelve and pretend you're a fan when you get on Zig Forums
>Maybe Nomura will finally wrap the series up
That's a big motherfucking 'maybe'
>FFVII Remake
i will when all the parts are out and its on PC. also nomura isnt even writing remake its nojima
this desu, it's got the same formula as the previous games so there's no reason to not like 3 if you liked the other ones
Playing it again atm with a newbie friend who wants to play through the series and I still love it. Argument dumpstered
However you want to cope, shitposter.
>game was released unfinished have to pay for dlc to experience the entire game
Can't believe zoomers keep falling for this.
>it just didn't live up to expectations, a very rushed game to meet the deadline to please shareholders right after ffxv they can't afford to delay
>everyone know it's the end of xano saga but not necessarily the end of series, have 5 game or so to build up to the final it went like "oh he is not that bad at all" and shoehorn in yorozo universe at last minutes
> the combat, fresh from FF7R hard mode beat every boss without any heal except for bahamut (well didn't grind materia or use aerith) KH3 is very bad in comparison, system mishmashed together with every boss in story poorly designed where in 7R every story boss has some thought go into it. the dlc? meh just an lazy effort copied from 2fm
>music basically recycled
>disney character wasted
pretty much check all biggest disappointmen box
I'm possibly the biggest KH2FM shill on this board and Re:Mind is worth it just for the Data Org. they add into it. Those bosses are legitimately well made, difficult, and fun to replay and master. I think it's better than any of the bosses KH2FM added, minus Lingering Will and Roxas. That said it's definitely not $30 if you're not autistic.
ReMind > FM2 > FM1
1 > 2 > 3
The ending made me never want to play another KH game ever again.
>only bits and pieces of side games as enhancers instead
You mean like the shitty BBS command style changes instead of drive forms and combos, and the awful flowmotion and air sliding?
>Full party with guest characters
And none of them from FF.
>Generally quick movement
The base movement is sluggish compared to KH2, but it just expects you to air slide everywhere which ruins platforming (and combat later on)
>People populating places like Twilight Tow
NPCs were nice, but TT is pathetically small.
>Gummi space exploration is nice
This is the one thing the game nailed. Gummi sections were great.
>Since I'm here for the finale, most of what's happened in the Disney worlds feels like filler
Every world you visit after Olympus has no actual goal or bearing on the plot. It's literal time wasting until a shitty boss rush at the very end.
I wouldn't even say what reMind added makes it "complete", it still ends on a shitty cliffhanger and all the plot is still rushed to fuck.
>The series should have ended at 2 and most KH fans share this opinion for a reason
the only kh "fans" who think this are secondaries who only played 1 or 2 when they were 13. True KH chads are in it until the end for Nomura's wild ride
>"If you aren't willing to gobble up every piece of shit Square puts out, even if you were there since the first game, you are somehow a secondary"
I liked it!
>wojack
opinion discarded
>Re:Mind is worth it just for the Data Org. they add into it. Those bosses are legitimately well made
No they aren't. They're boring games of simon says because the Osaka team doesn't understand combat design.
Same.
Based, how will the shill parroting his single argument ever recover?
ReMind is more like an alternate ending if anything. Those who weren't satisfied with the vanilla ending can pay $30 for a new ending & a boss rush.
I was in it until the end when he pulled a fake "cliffhanger" that didn't leave questions for the future but rather questions for the game we JUST played, and then put out the answers for thirty dollars.
Nomura is a fucking hack.
4Tellerchads where we at
I own all the games on the ps4 and the dlc
Three is a good time, just make sure to play on Proud or Critical
blubuhblahbuubluhbuh
>Remind has all the answers
kek
that being said the data org is pretty kino despite what some LW autist is saying
>gacha
>chad
Go be a paypiggie somewhere else.
>True KH chads are in it until the end for Nomura's wild ride
Remember back when you didn't have to pretend the appeal of the KH story was "it's so bad it's good"?
I actually did and I loved it. Made spending 30 bucks on remind sting a little less.
