In El Shaddai you are sent by God himself to capture some angels who rebelled and fell to earth, specifically the leader who has to be punished extra hard.
As you get there, you see that the act of going down to earth has fucked them up some way or another. Some of them went crazy, some of them were scarred permanently. You find out one of them actually got eaten by their own offspring.
Eventually you get to the final boss and its just a grave. The fucking dude died on his way to earth, he never even made it. You just kinda go "oh damn thats it i guess, time to go back to heaven" and the game fucking ends.
