Sega fucking sucks and you holding a torch for them is just delusional and nostlgia-blind.

Is there anything fun to play on this turd cutter besides

>power stone games
>sonic games
>hydro thunder
>crazy taxi
>soul calibur

Literally like 20% of the library is legitimately good, that ratio is unbelievably high.

Most of its games got ported, though.

Gimme some names, I'll see if I can find my disc drive and burn some CDRs

All the games worth playing have been ported off the system

>is there anything fun to play outside of these fun games

>skies of arcadia
>shenmue
>a bunch of n64 games got ported to this
>marvel vs capcom
>seaman
>jet set radio

Isn't the PS2 version of crazy taxi better?

No, all the ports of Crazy Taxi are downgraded in one way or another. The GC and PS2 versions are only minor downgrades, though.
Crazy Taxi 2 is exclusive.

Thank user, I forgot about Shenmue. Did the new game ever drop btw and was it garbage?

>console with best designed GPU of all time
>to the extent that almost 20 years later Nvidia actually ripped off its design for the GeForce 900 series

Get Redream emulator.

Recognizes your game library and controller instantly, plays all DC games except the few that rely on shitty Windows CE.

Why the fuck does the dream cast controller has a screen?

if you have it region free you can play stuff like cosmic smash which is cool. Also crazy taxi is endlessly replayable

Dreamcastfags will defend it to the death but it's a really stupid gimmick. The only game I can think of which ever used it well was Resident Evil, which used it to display your health.

>the new game did drop. zoomers called it garbage because they couldn't coom their lil girldicks to it

For Chao Adventure, tamagatchi and other life pet sims were super popular at the time.

Huh? Elabor8

Dreamcast’s GPU was the first competent implementation of a unique kind of rendering called tile-based deferred rendering, while normal GPUs use a technique called immediate rendering. The difference is the first renders tiles which are only textured later on, while the latter renders straight into the framebuffer with texturing immediately applied.

It was discovered that the GeForce 900 series onward which are immediate rendering GPUs have adopted a hybrid approach with some tile-based rendering.

Phantasy Star Online, the most soulful game ever made.

That shit’s bad for your console

I was always a Nintendo guy growing up and later a sony fag. I don't like sonic games or any of the old sega consoles. Dreamcast was legitimately good. It had a lot of promise and if it gained traction it would have had an even bigger library of games. It was an innovative console but the only thing it didn't have was a dvd player. That's what gave Sony the edge. Sony put in a dvd player at a time when people were buying dvd players and they were still relatively new and expensive. I even remember at the time people hyping up the dvd player as one of the main reasons to get a ps2. It was a smart move by Sony. But as a console the dreamcast was better. It was easier to program for. It had the best Internet connectivity and they were dedicated to bringing arcade classics and high quality games to the system. It deserves the cult following it has today.

>I don't like sonic games

Then eat a dick, you have nothing I want to hear from you.

Sonic is mediocre dude.

Really, it's not. It's a very fun franchise with personality. So eat a dick.

but this has objectively better versions on other platforms

Doesn't mean the DC release isn't still one of the best DC games.

There's maybe only 2 decent sonic games. Everything else is trash. It's poor man's Mario.

Is it worth playing offline tho
