They hate you because you speak the truth. FFXIV has an utterly boring combat and class system, and they are extremely self conscious about how cookie cutter it is

Healing is even more of a joke now, and the only Healing Job I liked is ruined

ARR/HW was great imo, and all Jobs had a good unique feel to it
I didn't play during SB, because I had other stuff I was doing

Stop playing tanks and healers. The reason is obvious. The game about rotation DPS arena fights. Everything else is unnecessary. Enmity is nonexistent in actual content. And always was

played FF14, hated it. Played wow classic again for the first time in years. It's a lot better structured and a lot more fun, and theres actual incentive to play with people, you see people everywhere. Fuck FF14

I keep trying to pick it up every year or so and feel like I enjoy it every time but there's something...off that keeps me from playing it long term. It just doesn't feel like a full-fledged MMO nor a single-player game.

I play all roles in general, and currently enjoying BLM in this raid tier

wow is an mmo, FF14 isnt in comparison, thats my point. FF14 is a single player game with some multiplayer elements till endgame

Yeah, it's not a very apt comparison. MMOs died when everyone decided they should copy Wrath of the lich king. No wonder the genre declined like it did, there hasn't been a game in it for over a decade.

yea in wow theres several reasons for people to wander the map, be it quests, professions, honor grinding, doing elite quests with group etc. You also can decide what to do everytime you log in: make money or do solo quests or do dungeons. In FF14 you follow the quest chain. fucking boring
