if emulating, PCSX2?

yes

emulating is more accurate but more demanding

what do you lose in the PC version?

Pressure sensitive controls

ah, were they that important in the original?
What about graphical glitches etc? Is PC better than the PS3/360 remasters?

certain graphical effects and skateboarding

HD collection dummy

also this, found out about it yesterday

>Is PC better than the PS3/360 remasters?
it's the same with possibly worse textures

>ah, were they that important in the original?
Yes.

> Is PC better than the PS3/360 remasters?
no.

the PC version has inputs for the half press and it runs at higher fps and resolution than the console remasters

>Missing out on the pressure sensitive controls
Why even bother?

>it's the same with possibly worse textures
Texture work was exactly what was upgraded in the HD ports.

How can you get analog buttons on emulator?

By using a controller you fucking animal

not all controllers have the analog/pressure sensitive buttons. even if the controller does have this (usually means it is a controller for ps3), your computer won't necessarily read those buttons as pressure sensitive, and just turn them into an binary input.

I use a PS2 controller through a USB connector and it works just fine

provide evidence

on that basis i'm inclined to go for the pc version.
How important were pressure sensitive buttons for the gameplay? I can't even remember it's been so long

Use the correct gamepad plugin
I did this on MGS3 like 7 years ago

I don't know about pressure sensitivity, but I use an Xbox 360 controller and PCSX2 detects analog movement just fine.

I vaguely remember pressure sensitive leaning?

lighting != textures.

that isn't a light it's a texture.

Emulation

the "analog" was the original anons of referring to the pressure sensitive buttons. called them "analog buttons" this has nothing to do with the sticks.

doesn't sound like that big a deal. Still leaning PC version.
I'm assuming there's 0% chance of an official PC release

You could aim your gun then slowly take the pressure off the aim button and it would lower your gun, not sure about other features

>How important were pressure sensitive buttons for the gameplay?
It's a difference between:
A) grabbing a guard by his neck, and
B) insta-stabbing the poor dude in the neck.

cqc/grabs/punches/chokes/neck cracks were all mapped to circle with different pressure sensitive contextual actions
