Both were good in their own way.

I feel like the only games Miyazaki actually worked on are DeS DaS1 and Bloodborne, Sekiro maybe, but less so.

Dark Souls 2 was the best Dark Souls at least, but that’s not saying much. Dark Souls is a 7/10 and Dark Souls 3 is a 5/10.

Will they ever make a game that surpasses bloodborne?

Played Bloodborne, Dark Souls 1 and 3, all with hundreds of hours in each game but I've been postponing 2 since everything about it looks like a janky PS2 game. Is there any redeeming qualities that make it worth a couple playthroughs if the game's on sale or am I not missing anything?

I played it out of spite, and 100% the base game and DLC and it's ok. It has some interesting designs and concepts but overall Dark Souls I, III, and Bloodborne are more complete experiences. Give it chance, honestly. I'm happy I gave it a chance atleast.

I played it expecting a pure shit jank game and I ended up getting a great ARPG with lots of soul. YMMV

wow, this is so true and sad. I honestly love the look at Death Stranding, and before ya'll laugh at me, yes, it is cringey, but I atleast think it holds a candle to Bloodborne.

It’s true though. Dark Souls 3 is a mediocre game and Dark Souls 1 is a good but completely unexceptional game that got hyped up by PCkeks.
