Last good RE

RESIDENT EVIL
(THREE)

Threesident evil

How come the voice guy never said NEMESIS hmm?

It boggles my mind how they put this line in remake, but in the most random of places.

Doesnt help that 9 out of 10 times the line will be cut off the first time you play through the game, not expecting Nemesis to be so close behind you

I've played both, and they are both great in their own way. I think RE3make is one of the best 90's action movies to be released in 2020

I unironically enjoyed REmake 3 as a re-imagining of RE3.

i don't think the dude for cv said code veronica

It's also such a random placement of the line.

I wouldn't say it's random. It's placed at a point when Jill is purposely taking action to direct Nemesis away from UBCS (a group she initially disliked). It's just the actual line itself is too iconic to put in small scene like that, especially when the cheesy tone of the line actually fits the more outlandish presentation of the new rail gun/final boss to the point that it's actually less out of place than it was in the original.

I'm sure we'll see a mod where someone swaps the line into the ending.

the 3 is silent

So it's "Resident Evil _"?

the gamecube version says "three" for some reason

All the gamecube versions have been changed to the REremake/RE4 announcer.

You mean like Silent Hill Shattered Memories? I guess but even that game recreated more from the original in it's own vision. (Town, school, hospital, amusement park, sewers, nowhere) Having RE3R mention Fox Park all the time and you never even go there is such a pisstake.

i know, but it's weird because the original title voice never said it

>You mean like Silent Hill Shattered Memories?
Actually yeah. I guess for me it doesn't really take away from both the original SH and RE3 since I can always play them again anytime.

I can respect that.

It makes sense they just executed it badly, having the same line at the same moment is a little too on the nose.

Yeah it helps that I still have clean PS1 copies of them, not to mention that emulation is always an option.

When I finished RE3 20 years ago it felt like an event, especially with Raccoon City getting nuked. I wish they had simply made a trilogy of movie with a good Director that followed the games.

This. Playing re3 as a kid and being absolutely terrified of nemesis on the ps1 is some of my fondest childhood memories. I've always always wanted to see an accurate portrayal of RE games, especially if the acting is campy or b-movie-like, akin to the original intro to RE1.

How much do the branching scenarios change up OG RE3? Last I played it I made it to the hospital section as Carlos, but my Nemesis fight at the clock tower had nemmy using his tentacle thing instead of the RPG like in another person's run. Is it minor or major things for RE3's branching paths?

They don't change much, you just do certain small areas in a different order. That fight with Nemesis you mentioned is I think the biggest difference.

Claire is lovely
