When has Zig Forums lied to you, Zig Forums?

When has Zig Forums lied to you, Zig Forums?
Zig Forums hates it because:
1. Zig Forums is bad at multiplayer games and gets shit on by better pirates
2. Zig Forums is full of weaboo jap RPG fans who can't appreciate a game based on skill and not one where you just grind for bigger numbers
I got this game at launch with a number of friends and while I think the game is great I can 100% admit that Im making that statement with a bias because I have the ability to play it in the most ideal environment possible (With three other close friends who are all equally passionate about it.) So when other people try it without that I don't blame them if they bounce off it. I know for a fact I would not like this game if I didnt have a crew to play with, where other games within the same market I could find enjoyment out of even without a group (PSO, Monster Hunter, etc.)
i don't want to waste 50gb of space for that also don't know anyone interested in that game and it probably sucks alone
There was no fucking content when I tried it during some open beta or some shit like that, the sea fights were pretty neat initially but when there was only 2-3 ship types and the downtime of literally nothing happening but water when traveling between islands made this game an unenjoyable slog.
It’s only fun if you play with friends. It’s a blast though, I have a lot of issues with it that hopefully a sequel or further updates can fix but as is, I’m still happy with it.
The last update really made a massive change. The Emissary flags encourage PvP, and being able to locate any Emissary ship on the map as a Reaper is fucking great.
Once the honeymoon phase wears off you realize the world is empty, the weapon variety is horrid, there's no real content, and the only progression is cosmetic.
I can't believe I spent 60 dollars on this complete pile of shit
The core gameplay is just terrible
The movement and ship controls are fine, but the guns handle like shit and the melee is some of the worst I’ve ever experienced.
There's always a ship to sink and someone's day to ruin.
>the only progression is cosmetic.
And that's a good thing
>weaboo jap RPG fans
literally me but i understand sot is a great game, just wish my friends would want to play it
It's a bro-op game and Zig Forums full of angry virgins lmao
And then they just instantly get another ship. How lame.
This was a pirate game at released that you can’t name your ship or even have a custom flag
Even fallout 76 has more content than this game and shamelessly using gamepass to inflate their player numbers
>spend 20 minutes getting explosive barrels and cannonballs from skeleton islands
>spend 10 minutes looking for people
>spend another 10 minutes chasing them down
>fight them for another 10 minutes
>80% of the time they have no loot, not that it matters if they did because you can't fucking buy anything that makes pvp faster or easier
>they instantly respawn on another island with a brand new pristine ship
may as well play blackwake so you can actually fight instead of doing 30 minutes of pointless bullshit
Nice try pajeet
It's a chill game, I feel like alot of people don't like it though because unlike fortnut and apex the actual game is really slow compared to most modern games. That and the emissaries helped pvp a bit by allowing for there to be something to take after that 10 to 15 min battle.
>spend another 10 minutes chasing them down
it's absurd how often people with literally nothing will just run. at least pretend to put up a fight so I don't feel like I wasted my time on nothing.
It's okay. Not enough to do. No world persistence is a double edged sword, too. Makes it easier to get friends to play, but it also makes it more repetitive and themepark like.
Needs substantial content and progression and things to explore that are more interesting. Probably could use more defined objectives, so that players getting in the way and attacking you actually has stakes because there's something you were actually trying to accomplish with your treasures. I wanna be a pirate so I want a good pirate game.
is your cousin hot OP?
LOL I love running from enemies just to show I have no loot and I won by wasting your time.
I wish i had enough friends with same free time windows to play it more than once per 3 months at best.
tried it on gamepass recently. my problem with it is (and likely i just wasn't paying enough attention to it) that i don't recall it ever being advertised as a pvp-focused game.it's not really made clear within the game either, so i was caught pretty off guard when my first player encounter was getting rammed by a guy i didn't see while docking at an island. seems like it might be fun if you have other people to play it with but playing solo trying to do tell tales or whatever is pretty hellish since your ship is always unguarded while you're away.
Nope, it means there's no incentive to do harder content. Not that there even is harder content. The game is less compelling than Destiny and that's saying something.
>>cousin buys it for me to play with her
How often do you fuck?
Do you guys think the game will be worth picking up when it comes out on steam and there's a large amount of players for a bit
There are skeletons and you can't play as them, I will never give a shit until you can.
You shouldn't have to pick up a game like this. It should be free.
shes ok
she's got a penis though.
don't think it would work with the game's "lore" since there's an entire friendly npc faction dedicated to skeleton extermination, but i agree. skeleton players or bust.
eh I got it for $20 and sunk hundreds of hours into it now so I feel like I got my money's worth.
You can't make a PVP multiplayer boat game, add skeletons, and not let people ride around on flaming ghost ships spooking the shit out of pirates.
It just ain't right.
It shouldn't oughta be done.
spoken like a true poorfag
and that's a negative?
yikes... kinda problematic...
Sea of thieves, while lacking a lot of content at launch, is genuinely a fun game, but of course Zig Forums is just gonna shit on it, no less an xbox game. Definitely a better experience than over the shoulder movie #46
the average Zig Forums poster is a mentally ill freak who only has a playstation so it really is no surprise he'd get absolutely assblasted at an xbox game
I'm pretty poor, but I do have 18k in the bank. I could buy a game anytime I want.
>xtrannies love playing butt-pirates
pottery
alabama please
18k of what? rupees?
LMAO@3RDWORLD NIGGAS
I'm 5 hours in and I'm not seeing much of a point in continuing, even with two friends. Is there more to this than just buying cosmetics?
>Played it day 1
>Loved it
>after a while got a lil stale so friends stopped playing
>Nowhere near as fun solo
>Stop playing
>Hungering Deep update drops, adding megalodons and shit
>Friends no longer interested
>Sad Arrrs
Not played since, glad you're having fun
this is the one which was bugged as hell and was build over ark
i play it occasionally. the whole emissary system got me spooked thanks to the trailers info about reaper's edge lords having the ability to see everyone on the map
>haha muh cousin fuck alabama sweet home XDD
>white europeans are 10000 times less inbred than literally everyone else on the planet, never mind american niggers from the same country who get raped by family 24/7 on the hush hush
k
There's no progression.
>Use map to find treasure chest
>Sell it to treasure chest buyer
>Buy a crappy outfit with the money you got from selling the treasure chest or spend real money on one of the cool outfits
USD.
I can tell youre playing solo stop larping like you'd "know" what this game is like with friends
that's atlus. That's a game that is genuinely dead
So there's nothing more to this game and we wasted money?
in my opnion this is its biggest flaw. I dont mind the nothing in between sailing but the fact there is no real progression besides cosmetics is kind of lame
>your ship is always unguarded while you're away.
This is my biggest gripe about the game. Your only options are to leave your ship unguarded while all 4 of you go off and do fun pirate things or 3 of you go off and do fun pirate things while one guy literally has to sit alone on the ship doing nothing but be a lookout.
>just stand still and let me glass you
no?
Sea of Thieves is fantastic for the first few hours you play it.
As soon as the charm wears off (which is after a few hours), you're abruptly smacked with the realization that the core mechanic is boring as fuck, and what little other content exists is extremely superficial and lazily tacked on.
I really, really wanted to like Sea of Thieves for more than a few hours, but they forgot to actually put a game in their game. If they had made it a battle royale with ships, it would have been more interesting than what we got.
>i bought a tennis racket and now theres nothing more for me other than hitting the ball at the wall???
Yes you friendless loser
This is for sure the biggest "Zig Forums was wrong" game. I only got it on a whim when Atlus was absolute garbage and I was still on the mood for a pirate game. My GOTY two years in a row.
pretty good bait
Zig Forums can't lie
It's all opinions except for the retard brains who can't think for themselves
If it wasn't for my friends who asked me to buy it I wouldn't have touched the game. Managing a ship alone sounds stupid.
Have you played it past launch? They worked hard to make basically every aspect more enjoyable. You want to pve and do voyages? the world has a ton of loot at all times, you want to pvp? well because the world just hands more loot out, everyone is carrying something of value.
Im so glad unimaginative human trash like you doesnt get to make games
>just make sea of thieves BR!!!
kek what a fucking piece of shit lowIQ
it really is fun...the part that i don't like is the sailing though...managing the ship can be super tedious if you have to go far. I totally get the appeal though, there's always a high stakes game of cat and mouse when a bunch of ships full of booty are on the same map
So it's like BoTW
>Maximum crew size of 4 people.
Do these devs think everyone has no fucking friends or something? I'm not about to tell 2 or 3 of my other friends to fuck off so I can play this game with 3 others, lol.
>Weapons and clothes have stats
