Why is this game so much more beloved than Witcher 3?

It's the closest equivelent to a 3D version of Fallout 2 that we will ever get. Witcher 3 is a horribly designed game that fails in the fundamental aspects of game design, it reeks of overproduction and front-loading the start of the game since most journalists don't finish games. This is why Bloody Baron is the only thing that people talk about, and happened at the start. Strip away the high production value and you are left with a mediocre eurojank game.
New Vegas had shit production value, and the developers spent what little time & budget they had to craft the best game they possibly could. And it shows, people still talk about it constantly & it has tons of replay value. Witcher is largely forgotten nowadays & people's opinion of it lowers more & more as the years go on.

Killing things in New Vegas is more cathartic. Also, as an American who's spent a lot of time hunting in west texas, I identify a lot more with cowboy shit and mid-century americana than I do with Polish folklore.

The Boon side quest in New Vegas, is more well written than anything any Western game has come up with this generation.

Bethesda intentionally skimped on QC so that the critic scores would fall below the threshold required for obsidian to be paid royalties. Never, ever buy a bethesda product, they're a terrible company and always have been.

Despite it's map being 100x time more barren than Witcher 3's, I still find it more enjoyable to explore and wander around in. Witcher had too much shit and not enough soul.

It probably helps that most of new vegas is just straight up real locations, just moved closer together.

Why does this game have terrible performance on my PC? My specs are more than capable, but I get slowdowns whenever something happens on the screen. Even on the lowest settings, I drop from 60 to 40.

My FPS goes to shit when there are a lot of enemies onscreen but my rig is over a decade old and I have a lot of graphical mods running.
