I play them for a while but always end up dropping it after falling off the wagon. They just add so many features, and the feeling of constantly being ahead of the curve when a game starts up, then falling behind once you need to put in several hours a day to stay on top, I tend to drop it.
First FGO, then Girl's Frontline and now Pokemon Masters.

Well, take Girl's Frontline for example. You don't need any money to get the girls in that game, and for almost a year I had every single released gun without paying anything for them. But at some point they just went ham on releasing new ones with time-consuming events that also unlocked new girls, and eventually once I couldn't keep up I lost motivation.

even if I did have infinite money and time, and thus was able to enjoy a gacha game in its entirety, I think it's terrible game design to make so much of its content only available for a limited amount of time. And the randomness of what you happen to roll means they can't balance a game for what you have. So I can't see a gacha game every being good.
