sengoku mexico. you could play as the aztecs and try to repel the invaders, attempt to conqure as the spanish or try try to use the ongoing war to give your small state some more leverage. doesn't have to be realistic, maybe the mayans could make a comeback and crawl up the peninsula or the british will play a bigger role.

>Indian game
You play as a cowboy killing Indians

>Eskimo game
You die of cold and starvation, then a walrus eats your corpse.

Forgot this other idea. Whenever you get invaded you hear this.

Not really.

Cortes and other Conquistadors in Mexico were inanely reliant on local armies from existing city-states and kingdoms to do fighting for them: The Spanish may have had metal armor, weapons, guns, calvary, cannons, etc; but even those advantages aren't going to make up for a 50x to 100x to 200x gap in numbers, which is what they were up against when fighting against the armies (which, mind you, were formal, organized armies that fought in formation, not just bands of disorganized warriors) of the larger kingdoms and empires in the region: Plus most conquistadors didn't even have steel armor and those that did often abandoned it due to the climate.

So in almost any given battle, it wasn't, say "50,000 natives tribals vs 500 conquistadors with decisive conquistador victory", it was "50,000 native soldiers vs 500 conquistadors + 30,000 native soldiers", and in many cases the Conquistrador side nearly lost or DID lose.

To wit, while the Aztec captial fell in 1521 (to a combined force of 200,000 soldiers from 7 or so local states and their subjects doing most of the fighting for Cortes), there were still tons of campaigns against other city-states and kingdoms in the region for many decades, with armies in the 1550's still mostly being native troops using their own armor and weapons against armies from the holdout city-states and towns that existed. The last Maya city didn't even fall to 1697.

Anyways, i'm not sure a total war game would be a good fit, since Mesoamerican armies lacked calvary or siege weapons (aside from maybe siege towers) and it'd hurt unit diversity a lot. It'd be better suited to a grand strategy game where there's a big empasis on making alliances and political marriages and using indirect geopolitical shit to gain and manipulate allies to help you take out the people you want to take out, since that sort of thing was very common in Mesoamerivan history and how the Spanish were able to conquer the region.

For more info/see me explain this in more detail, see:
- This pastebin for more information about Mesoamerican political systems and how/why it allowed the Conquistadores to gain allies/how it'd play into a grand strategy game as I mentioned: pastebin.com/VqW97h93
- These two series of posts delving into why the Conquest of Mexico as a whole was a lot more luck based and contigent on early flukes enabling subsequent exponential snowballing desuarchive.org/his/thread/5526254/#5526329 and archived.moe/v/thread/441551507/#441565260
- This pastebin where I talk about the above more but moreso focus on Cortes speffically: pastebin.com/9vrEi1aE
- like the above, but moreso focused on the disease element: desuarchive.org/his/thread/8187886/#8189822

god those outfits are awful; here's an image of actual Aztec (As in, Mexica speffically, though it'd be true of other Nahua groups too to some extent), with some Tlaxcalatec (who are also "aztec" in the sense they are Nahuan) and Purepecha on the top right.

Death whistles are a tourist thing. Similar whistles existed historically but they didn't make screaming sounds, they made sound like the wind; and were used ritualistically, not for use in battles.

Expedition conquistador isn't hentai but you can do that there

Attached: COMPRESSED voyages d'alix aztec clothing.jpg (3443x2256, 3.14M)

and then an image of Maya and some Toltec (sort of, the toltec are kind of a giant can of worms; here I think th depictions are taken from stuff from the site of Tula) and maybe some teotihuacano

There's plenty of other Mesoamerican civilizations with their own clothing and attire too like the Mixtec, Zapotec, Totonac, Huastec, Teotihuacano, Purepecha (though there's one Purepecha/tarascan example in) bbut I need to sleep so i'm not gonna dump stuff the whole night long

If you want accurate recreations of Mesoamerican clothing/fashion, I'd check out Kamazotz on Deviantart/Zotzcomic on twitter's stuff; they do a lot of it, not just on clothing but also hairstyles and the like. Ohs688/ohs6888 also does a ton of good recreations and breakdowns (like the different pieces of clothing and what they are called, etc), usually for Aztec stuff speffically, but keep in mind they also do furry art so sometimes it's with anthro characters rather then people.

Other people who do good recreations of Mesoamerican clothing/people include Rafael Mena, the Aztec Empire comic (bigredhair.com/books/aztec-empire/about/), Angus Mcbride, Tom H Hall, Louis S. Glanzman, and Nosuku K (albiet using chibi art). Shi-Gu is also doing a comic set in a mesoamerican fantasy setting which uses mostly accurate aeshetics. There's a few other people I can name (especially if we go past just clothing and also included archtectural recreations), but I think that's a good sample of suggestions.

Also here's a twitter user list with a lot of these made by a guy I sometimes exchange resources with twitter.com/i/lists/1240334568248541184/members

anyways i'm going to bed

A game where you play as a native american in Canada. It's a survival horror game where you must hunt and kill wendigos before they can go and kill you. It's a very lethal hunter vs hunter game where you have it difficult because the prey itself tries to hunt you and is supernaturally powerful.

I was mostly memeing about total war but this is legit fascinating stuff. Thanks based mesoamerican history autist. The numbers of fighters seem absolutely wild, considering European battles around the same time had soldiers numbering in the lower tens of thousands on either side if I'm remembering correctly.

>you are a lost Conquistador in the jungle
>amazones breed the fuck out of you
>in mid game you can switch factions to help them survive or conquer them

>secret boss is a Snake God

To be clear the 50,000 vs 500/30,000 thing was just an example, the average typical battle wouldn't have had those numbers, but a few would have. As I noted, the siege on Tenochtitlan by most estimates had a combined offensive force of 200,000 soldiers.

Anyways, ere's an excerpt from Hassig's Aztec warfare on army sizes (namely for Tenochtitlan in particular mostly), with some of my notes on 1-2 things too

Jajajajajajaja

not dedicated game, but have in a fighting game a stereotypical sexy polynesian scantly clad girl dancer, with good hips and thighs who can also breath fire and her attacks are mostly leg, hip, thigh, butt based.

I know death whistles are a tourist thing but its cool and would make people shit their pants when some dude jumps them out of nowhere. This is an idea guy thread for video games after all.

that's literally American Conquest: Fight Back

>bottom left animal dudes wearing cock socks
based

Sounds dope but it would all come down to how well the enemy a.i. is programmed

>no conquistador game
Total War Warhammer 2 doesn't fit the bill because the locals can fight back

It's actually quite impressive that they built that without knowing what wheels are

>how well the enemy a.i. is programmed
Alien Isolation levels, but unlike that game you can kill the wendigos directly and/or make traps to dupe them into death. Also you'd get an arsenal of weapons that have varied levels of effectiveness and utility. You can also get firearms that will do massive damage to a wendigo and kill him in 2 shots, but will cause a lot of noise that may attract other wendigos. If that happens, then you must hide since fighting a group of them is suicide.

>losing to the locals

An Oregon Trail like game simulating the harsh unforgiving nomad life of eskimos

JRPG, Fighting mayan gods would be cool as fuck

Make a game based loosely on the events depicted in the novel Terror.

You are a 19th century English marine stuck in an icelocked wasteland with murdering madmen among the crew, savage Inuits, starvation, lead poisoning and a giant ghost shark bear all trying to kill you.

Last chapter of game is you trying to walk to Canada while the shark bear stalks you.
