I really hope the golden age of Intel CPU's returns, I can't stomach the thought of having to suffer through the dumpster fire that is AMD CPU compatibility and bios issues, nor do I cherish the thought of the straight up house fires that are Intels current offerings.

literally the only cpu worth owning from intel is 9900k and thats if you want to pay 100 extra for 2 more frames and shittier performance in everything else than gaming benchmarks

Jumped from a 2500k to a 6700k when it released.
I'm pretty sure Intel is STILL basing their chips off that one, so haven't felt a need to upgrade again since.
Not sure when to upgrade next though.

Yeah but I'm retiring mine this summer, it really is starting to become a serious bottleneck. Still pretty good value for a CPU that survived 10 years.
