this bad boi nearly a decade old and still runs the latest games flawlessly, what a beast
2500k, still the king
R3600 is the new i5-2500k. Time to move on, old man.
I really hope the golden age of Intel CPU's returns, I can't stomach the thought of having to suffer through the dumpster fire that is AMD CPU compatibility and bios issues, nor do I cherish the thought of the straight up house fires that are Intels current offerings.
your bait is too subtle, either go full "pentium 4 is enough for everybody" or go home.
Meanwhile, in the real world.
>Touching AMD shitware
>LUL
But AMD has better compatibility? With intel you have to get a new mobo every generation.
BIOS issues are still a thing but compatibility hasn't been a problem in ages.
feels good being a 2500Kchad
AMd literally has BIOS issues that kill it's performance.
Also AMD has terrible compatibility with the only Good GPU's Nvidia.
Who's using i7 4770k?
I feel like I got scammed by buying in the wrong gen.
>using AMD instead of a CPU
>source: my jidf training manual
>AMd literally has BIOS issues that kill it's performance.
you mean like those security mitigations that keep slashing the performance every few months?
wait that intel
the vulnerabilities killed it, bro
>AMd literally has BIOS issues that kill it's performance
Link me a source, and if it's an article that isn't from this year you will be dismissed as the Intel shill you are.
It was really good, but it obviously doesn't run new games flawlessly.
I retired my old i2500k (PBuH) 3 years ago.
It's time you let yours rest, OP.
stop this meme
Last I checked intel actually has CPU's that are good for gaming. AMD Doesn't. Nice try AMD Cuckboi
>stop this meme
literally the only cpu worth owning from intel is 9900k and thats if you want to pay 100 extra for 2 more frames and shittier performance in everything else than gaming benchmarks
>runs the latest game flawlessly
Why tell lies, there's no chance in hell this could run high settings in the newest games at 1080p 60fps
Jumped from a 2500k to a 6700k when it released.
I'm pretty sure Intel is STILL basing their chips off that one, so haven't felt a need to upgrade again since.
Not sure when to upgrade next though.
>compatibility hasn't been a problem in ages.
RDR2 was literally borked for AMD CPU's for weeks.
>Last I checked
2016?
Yeah but I'm retiring mine this summer, it really is starting to become a serious bottleneck. Still pretty good value for a CPU that survived 10 years.
2500k will last forever
i will just personally wait for ddr5 to become mainstream, gonna skip the entirety of ddr4
t. haswell user
t. coping shitters robbed by shintel
Imagine living in 2020 in still not upgrading to an i9
>Corelet
I swapped i5 2500k with i5 9600kf.
JESUS FUCK it feels like a blind person seeing for the first time in his life.
It's funny seeing Zig Forums lag behind the times by about 5 years in regards to AMD. Is it just Intelfags who are desperate to justify their overpriced house-fires?
