Mandatory rest at the inn or you can't cast spells

Instead of an MP bar they balanced abilities and spells around a certain number of uses per rest. You're supposed to rest a lot, not just at inns but in the game world to keep your party in top shape while exploring. When you can't rest, you need to be tactical and conservative with your abilities, you can't just buy 50 ethers and spam firaga-omniggablast 500 times an hour.

you have basic attack spells that use mana and you can meditate to quickly recover your mana
then you have big spells that have a limited amount of uses and you have to rest to recover them
