Say what you want about Kojima, but the man knows his artstyle. Even his current gen games look great. They strike a nice balance between realistic and video game-y. And his older games like MGS2 and MGS3 had great artstyles as well. He evolved as generations passed, where other developers fell into the soulless department.

Kojima didn't build every environment, he didn't concept/draw them. He told a team of 30 people to make some mountains. He writes nonsense on a whiteboard during meetings and takes credit for everything.

I use a software and get the exact same result as death strading (expect my textures looks better, they are the same, but 4k)
