If I'm undead, and they're undead

If I'm undead, and they're undead.

Why do they attack me?

Being unded sucks and makes you mad at everyone.

the plot is convoluted in the land of the lords (lordran)

You’re undead not hollow

Because they are hollow and you are not.

I imagine at that point they just want souls

they want you to hand over that, your DARK SOULS™: Prepare To Die™ Edition

>fancy words that don't explain anything
Why do japs always do this?

Because you aren't hollow therefore you must have humanity and they wanna take it

They're so far gone they attack anything that moves.

Patrician version over remastered.

except each other

The story of this game is really bad

>tfw playing DaS1 comfy on the Switch

Should I get blackout drunk and play Dark Souls tonight?

>lose my humanity
>still not hollow
wew

They're a metaphor for players who give up and never finish. They lost their grip on their humanity after dying so many times.

Japanese are French Asians

Imagine that your dead and that you can't die. You can't really do anything but stand around and wait for shit to happen. So then you see this waifu looking bitch with dumb hair and a shiny face walking up to you. You don't have a dick so you can't rape her. What do you do? You flail like an autist because you don't know how to fight besides what you read on Zig Forums a few years ago but it kinda escaped you. So now you're flailing at the bitch and as you hit her you see her titties jiggle a bit and that turns you on, but you don't have a dick so you realize that you gotta kill her and take her clothes off. Luckily she's a fuckin casul and you take her down, but then she fades away and you're not even sad because you're used to being ignored by the opposite sex so you just walk back to where you were standing before.

either that or let a homeless man cough in your face

Well, the other option was driving around and shooting homeless people. So I think the choice is clear.

I see Sid from Toy Story has hit some hard times.

They are cursed undead that have given up and lost their minds.
Your character still has motivation and desire driving them forward, a goal to work towards.

Its not bad. its just hidden. there are some great plot twists in the story but you will never figure it out unless you talk to every npc. or watch youtube videos about it.

Why aren't there more hollow NPCs? Clearly it's not a one-way ticket to being a raving lunatic, and you have to figure more than a few people are going to die and not have the skills needed to recover some humanity.

If nobody can die in the dark souls world how are you killing enemies and bosses?

Japs do not understand how to write stories. They think overdeveloped convoluted lore will intrinsically make shit interesting, when in fact it only appeals to autists

The difference between undead still having a soul vs an undead that has lost its sould doesnt require you to have a galaxy brain to understand.

Then why do hollows drop their souls when you kill them

The real Dark Soul was the friends we made along the way

???

It's all explained

>Undead: a person branded with the darksign. Cursed to never truly die, because whenever they die they simply respawn at a nearby bonfire. The more they die, the more their sanity slips away

>Hollow: the last stage of an undead. They are pretty much zombies with no memories of their past self. They attack anything that moves to feed on their soul and humanity

load up on any mixture of chemical drugs and get yourself so far gone you start vibrating through the furniture

don't know about regular enemies and bosses but with the lord soul bosses you're absorbing their power so maybe that's why they stay dead. it's also implied that there's multiple timelines intersecting each other so that's why you can kill an enemy permanently in your world but that enemy will still exist in some alternate timeline (eg the timeline of the people that summon you)

>can't understand things from context
Do Americans really?

I never understood the distinction between enemies that turn into ragdolls, and enemies that fade away. Is there any real logic to it? Some of the fading enemies respawn anyway so what makes them special enough to have a vanishing animation

how did the crestfallen hollow out just by venturing into new londo

Undead on Undead crime is very common in Undead Burg. Despite making up only 20% of the population, hollows are responsible for 80% of flaming barrels assaults and gank squads.

>Hollow
>Fancy word
Okay retard here's your (You).

You are undead.
They are undead and hollow.

why don't they attack each other then?

what a racist connotation

The theory is that the ones that fade away are illusions.

engine limitations. can't have 100 ragdoll corpses flying around otherwise your game would grind to a halt

It's the big ones usually, who would be hard to have ragdoll
Theres no lore reason
