Other than that, gotta see if eps 1-6 level remakes are actually good, since 7-9 won't be worth playing anyway.

it took 7 years to make the mandolorian and something resembling a real star wars games (jedi fallen order) and 8 to make clone wars season 7. they're not interested in making good things, they just want to focus on shitty knockoff marvel movies and comics

There's no reason why BF3 can't exist if EA just looses exclusivity but retains the rights to produce Star Wars games. Let other companies compete with EA so they don't have the power to shove so much microtransaction trash in the one Star Wars game coming out every 2-3 years.

well lego star wars episode 7 was shit, but it's not their fault. There's genuinely nothing they can do with the new movies to make them fun. I have no idea how they'll do anything with 8.

Or it's taken them 7 years to make them realize people actually want good things. Clone wars was fucking fantastic outside of the middle arc (you can tell Disney fucked with it, but it still wouldn't have been anything special if they kept the original guy), mandalorian was okay, and JFO wasn't anything groundbreaking but it was a godsend compared to the other star wars games EA's put out. It'd be nice if Filoni got more to do, since he's one of the only people there that actually gives a shit about the franchise, even if I don't agree with a few of his decisions.

They likely can't just force ea to do what they want. We can't know for sure since nobody knows what was on the contract, but most licensing agreements don't say "you have to make a certain number of games that we will decide at a later date". Its either make however many you want, or fill a specific quota that was established from the start
