>play hard mode otherwise game is trash
>pick hard mode
>low tier robot flails its arms in my general direction
>die in 1 hit
is this really how this game is meant to be played?

Get good.
Normal mode suffices well enough, like you niggas really want the machines being equally matched with battle androids. Immersion would be wrecked if the machines started kicking my ass. Go play DS or something

What? I'm getting mixed messages from this post. Do you want me to play hard mode or not?

>play hard mode otherwise game is trash
lmao

nigga just chill or something idk smoke up play on easy and watch 2b go dodge on everything

No, DON'T play hard mode on your first try. You aren't meant to and anyone who says you do is just larping as an 3lite gam3r d00d.
You play normal. It's plenty hard until you get the dodging and mixing up ranged and close attacks.
The reason people say normal is trash is that if you piss about too much slowly wandering around the map and taking your time on sidequests; without realising it you'll be overleveled and you will be able to wreck the final boss before he's even done talking.

If you get overleveled, just take off some of your crazy strong chips. But the right way is to just storm through the story. You've got 5 endings to get so it's still going to take time.

Then by that point you've probably got the game down, so you'll want the challenge of 1-hit-1-kill from hard mode.

>hard mode is hard
Woah

The difficulty in this game is fucked. Just play normal without going full tryhard with min/maxing. It's a shittier version of Platinum action that's excused with being an RPG.

I played hard mode on my blind playthrough, it took me 4 hours to finish the tutorial because I kept experimenting with different things, dying, and having to redo the entire tutorial, but once I was done with that, it was pretty easy, you never lose any where near as much progress when you die after that.

So I'd say, to save yourself some pain, do the tutorial on normal, then switch to hard after, the rest of the game is definitely best played on hard.

So am I not supposed to do side quests or what? I did the first two with the weapons dealer and the junk shop but I was level 6 going against level 12 enemies in the story before the white haired guy.

>is this really how this game is meant to be played?
explicitly no, it’s only there to mock you faggots who think that

>play normal
>have fun

who cares about what others think

just play the game nigga

i swear niggas will want to play a hard game and then get mad when a level 1 machine one shot them. str8 busta frfr

do the sidequest, goddamn people need to be told how to play games now better off watching streamers

I beat the game recently and it feels boring and stupid, there's multiple endings for this empty piece of shit? Only good thing was 2B ass and I guess combat? Fuck Zig Forums shitty choice of games.

I love how everyone who blames Zig Forums for playing or not playing a game sounds like an abjectly retarded failure of a human being.

the game has 5 playthroughs
you can do the sidequests whenever

Automato is trash regardless of difficulty. Play a real game of theirs like Bayonetta.

>play on the hardest difficulty or game is trash
If you actually believe anyone who ever tells you that about any game you're a dumbass.

lol mad that your shitty coombait game fucking sucks ass and not much cares about it besides weebs like you.

>there's multiple endings for this empty piece of shit?
Sounds like you didn't beat the game. They call them endings but they're actually new chapters

>hurr durr i NEED to play hard because i am le epin gamur
>set game to hard
>is actually hard can't do it
>WTF?????!!!!
jesus fuck OP.

This. Stop thinking about it with your e-peen and just use your regular peen like everyone else.

Are you actually autistic? He literally didn't even mention the game or imply any kind of opinion on it. He just stated that any user that actually listens to Zig Forums about whether a game is good or bad is always a retard, and it's true. If you can't look into a game and figure out if it looks interesting to you or not you're a fucking brainless NPC.

>play normal
>don't realize there is a shop on the ship
>never upgrade anything
Game is fun and challenging if you don't boost your character at all. Moment I started using upgrades I could beat bosses so easily and the adrenaline rush was lost.

its not that the game is hard, its just badly designed. if you die on the first level it sends you all the way back to the title screen, and you have to watch an unskippable cutscene every time you start the game again. they obviously just didnt put thought into it.

This is what I did. Tutorial on normal, rest on hard. Occasionally near the beginning I was dying to things I really felt I shouldn't be, but as soon as you get into the chip slots things balance out nicely. I can see how piss easy it would have become on normal by roughly the end of route A.

You can change the difficulty any time. Move it down for a while it you're struggling. Then bump it back up when things start getting too easy.

seethe nerd, your game is pp and trash and always will be

Unskippable cutscene? You mean the opening monologue that's not even 20 seconds that segways right into the game..
If you die on the first mission then yeah "git gud"

first mission isn't that hard, just fucking dodge the gay little robots and hit the stupid saw things and beat some ez braindead boss and ur good.

i played hard on my first playthrough and had a good time, wouldn't recommend doing the prologue on hard though. even on hard, all the late game bosses died in like 3 seconds because i did all sidequests and was too strong.
