I usually play as female characters if I have the option but for AC: Odyssey I went with male because his voice actor is great, while the voice actor for Kassandra is fucking terrible.

Becuase it's possible to relate more to a female character than a male character, even if you're a cis male, AND it's possible that you're just more interested in the story of the female character, whether you feel you relate to her or not.
