Well lads, i buyed a optiplex 7010 a while ago, which graphic card should i buy for this pc...

What the fuck is that suppose to mean, what specs do you have? That case could have a Titan or Super card in there for all I know
the optiplex has many specs OP
tell us your specs dumb niggra
Like said earlier ITT, naming your PC's or craptop's vague model designation does not help at all. There's like 3 dozen versions of "Acer Nitro 5" laptops alone.
Tell us your full specs, preferably by taking a screencap of the start up screen of the SPECCY program.
That being said, if you don't have a GPU yet and you're not sure about the PSU's strengths, look up some cheap, used GTX 1050ti low-power version. Or, if you got more money, get the newer 1650ti, again a model that does not need external power connectors.
I'd recommend some used mid card like rx580/1060 and so on. Buying new cards is not worth it now since new gen is coming.
And get a SSD. Even slow SATA2 ssd will make a huge difference.
1650 ti
>buyed
Its brought you fucking idiot
>buyed
If you are going full grammar nazi at least learn your grammar, retard
I upgraded mine with an i5 2400 and gtx 1060& SSD, it plays squad and tarkov
>forgets the period
You guys are giving OP an undue hard time. If it's an Optiplex 7010, then it's almost certainly an i5-3470, 8GB of RAM, 500GB HDD, a 275 watt power supply.
If you want to just drop a video card in and call it a day, you have to use some manner of GeForce 1650, there's no better card that can be used without external power. If you choose to upgrade the PSU, keep in mind Dell's use a proprietary connector - a standard ATX PSU won't connect to the motherboard without an adapter like this.
If you go through the trouble of a new PSU + an adapter, it opens up cards like the Radeon 570 and 5700, and the GeForce 1660 and 2060. The 570 is particularly appealing - it will cost less than the GeForce 1650 you would have gotten otherwise and be nearly twice as powerful.
>Prebuilt
Being poor is no excuse for being an idiot.
A $100 prebuilt that needs nothing but a video card is a very reasonable way to do entry level gaming
No they're not, prebuilts are a fucking joke by comparison to what you can do on your own.
>mexican
>actually thinking he bought this
He stole it 100%
All he CAN get is a graphics card, and one that'll be heavily outdated in a year at that.
I never said he bought anything.
If you were talking about even a $500 config you'd be right. But we're talking 100, 80, even 60 bucks for a
>case
>mobo
>HD
>RAM
>CPU
>PSU
>possibly even a keyboard and mouse
And because diminishing returns have been going on for so long, whatever "slow outdated" Sandy or Ivy or Haswell shit is under the hood still won't really bottleneck, say, a 1060.
I brought mine with 16 gb of RAM, i dont remember the CPU ghz but is a i5
Yeah, thats why i brought this pc, is the model with the biggest case if i recall well
that's what i got. i use a gtx950 and a 850w psu my bro gave me. had to break part of the panel locking system and had to take out that lever on the side to make it fit in
>all these mustards who didnt buy a dell
Well then your choices basically boil down to a GeForce 1650 or a Radeon 570.
Either of them will be able to run any video game in existence since you're not messing with 4K/VR/etc. The Radeon is cheaper AND more powerful but you'll have to fuck with the power supply, the GeForce is just plug and play.
>buyed
What's up with the amount of ESL's on here? It's like the internet is nothing but retards with 3rd grade reading levels now.
With MOBO power only your only viable choice is GTX 1650
With SATA to 6/8pin adapters you can safely run anything up to about 150W cards with the stock PSU.
For this your best options are 1650 Super or 1660
Anything more and you should just get a new PSU
lmao @ the asshurt in this thread as if paying pocket change for an eight year old office shitbox to upgrade is the same as buying a $3,000 Alienware with an i3 and a Geforce 750 inside
The 7010 does not use proprietary ATX connectors
The 7020 is the one that does
Even better then, saves a $5 chinese widget and the potential short circuit from it
Not for $200 or less. $300-500 to do something like a Ryzen APU build will perform far worse in any game than the $200 Optiplex build with a real GPU.
>Actually thinking a 100 workhorse computer is a good investment.
Sorry poorfag but that sounds like an absolutely glorious waste of money.
Ignore Use Sata to 6-pin adapters. You can get a 1650 Super which will rival a 570 with far less power draw, with just the stock PSU. or 1660 Ti if you want something fancier.
Price wise, regular 1650 is a bad deal.
>pay less than a used gaming console
>can play any game you want to at 1080p 60fps
If you dont care about 4k 144hz ego shittery it's literally all you need
I was casting a wide net by saying "1650," excuse me.
NOOOOOO I paid 2k on some random chinkshit because linus told me it was pro gamer gear and now all I do is play dota and shitpost this cant be happening bros
Ironically this thread only exists because Linus just made a video about the optiplex + GPU build.
Fuck, did he? RIP eBay prices
You're right, it's even stupider because at least with the alienware there's a point in upgrading it at some point because the entire system isn't a bottleneck.
>All you need right now don't worry about that pesky future.
Green ham gaming was the budget kino hero we needed
lmfao
Yup, right here youtube.com
>You guys are giving OP an undue hard time
No, they aren't. It's a joke to go "I own X brand Y model" and expect people to know what the fucking stats are off the top of their head.
>buyed
An education would be what I would focus on first.
Thanks to consoles, the future doesnt matter
Xbox Series X is already confirmed for not being able to run the new Ass Creed at 60fps.
The biggest coming change is "We have SSDs now" which PCs already had for years
>If it's an Optiplex 7010, then it's almost certainly an i5-3470, 8GB of RAM, 500GB HDD, a 275 watt power supply.
No, there's no guarantees.
The very first few Google searches promise mere i3 (2c/4t) + 4GB RAM.
People shitting on my grammar like if it was my first lenguage lmao
You sound like a third worlder, so you could probably play the most popular games for brown people like League of Legends or Counter Strike 1.6 without buying a graphics card
>make $250 shitbox pc
>enjoy massive library of older and current vidya
>will still be able to play next gen on lower settings
oh nooes, muh pixellsss
