Congratulations, you finally get it

congratulations, the series goes downhill approximately halfway through brotherhood

Everything after Ezio collection sucks
>inb4 boatfags

You're playing a game the was made before it became a yearly product. Enjoy.

Ezio is good until revelations. Assassin's Creed 3 is also pretty good. Everything after that is lazy and soulless. I like Odyssey

After Assassins Creed IV was when the series got stale and boring

I think Revelations is good.
Why do you think that Revelations is not good?

Arguably the suck starts in Revelations.
It feels uninspired and Constantinople sucks, everything looks the same.
Bombs were a cool idea that felt forced but it's still a shame it didn't come back.

>After
>Tailing missions on boats: the game
I'll never get you people's love for Black Fag.

Most of it is because the story and main cast of characters are all very good.
The tailing missions really drag it down though, I agree with you, but it's still undoubtedly one of the most kino AC games.
If it didn't have any of the shit modern day sci-fi shit and less tailing missions then I'd call the game downright fantastic.

I enjoyed the wrap up for Altair;s story, although Ezio's was a little stupid as he basically just says fuck it and takes off at the corpse of altair.

Not really sure why. I thought boat missions in III were awful due to the zoomed in view (instead of bird's eye, akin to Sid Mier's pirates) and painfully slow. I tried to give Rogue a chance but I got bored a little ways in.

I still feel like AC II is the peak of the series, with the first part of brotherhood also being good. Didn't care for the ending.

because pirates are based and its the only good pirate game that exists

I did like getting to see more of Altaïr's life and seeing how the two characters differ as elders was an interesting idea, they also make Ezio a more gray character which was something he could really use since his trilogy is otherwise fairly black and white, what with the burning of Cappadocia, killing I think was Tamir and generally screwing up.
They did do some good things, but the franchise felt somewhat tired at that point. I think for most fatigue really hit with this game.

MP was a great time, though. I sure miss it.

>"the series goes downhill approximately halfway through brotherhood"
>Désilets left midway through Brotherhood's development
Really makes me fucking think

I think it had most to do with Desmond being stuck in limbo within the Animus. I just thought that was pretty dumb

The first and most of Ezio are good, Brotherhood starts the downfall and Revelations is just average at best. After that it just falls apart. I almost bought the Assassin's Creed Pack on Xbone for 65 bucks because I thought it had One to Odyssey, but it didn't have One, Ezio, or 3, so there was no point.

The first two Ezio games are bangers, brotherhood still remains one of my favorites. But Revelations was just such an ugly fucking setting, I mean Jesus Christ we didn't need another game set in the ugly as fuck holy lands again

Spooky.

Still the best track in the series to this day.

Now I kinda wish the multiplayer was in the ezio collection

I tried joining the servers on PS3 the other night on brotherhood and it was dead. Maybe on Steam they might be a little mroe active (but probably still dead). I never play MP until I complete SP though so I never fully experienced it.

post ezio games, ubisoft realized they wanted to turn it into a money cow with a cod-like-release-cycle. now, give all the shit you want to the cod series but for how often they release I think they have very good campaigns. problem with ubisoft is they tried to the model on a series that was probably supposed to conclude in no more than 4-5 games (one more after brotherhood or revelations).

>post ezio
II onwards was a yearly release

Ezio was one of the most overrated characters in all of Assassin's Creed. How many times did he completely abandon the tenets of the creed throughout the course of his series of games? He never matured, even in old age. Ezio was nothing but a hypocrite who killed innocents like Tarik or the civilians in the Derinkuyu fire, and Ezio faced no repercussions for his actions. Yet he has the gall to chastise one of his assassin apprentices in Revelations for killing an innocent target. Ezio was a terrible character.

During the end of Assassin's Creed II, Ezio's quest for revenge leads to a climactic fistfight with the Pope, only for Ezio to have a holier than thou moment. Ezio spares the Pope's life as Ezio realizes that snuffing out Rodrigo Borgia won't bring back his dead father or brothers. Ezio is done with his life of killing. Yet Brotherhood reverts Ezio's character back to square one for no reason. In comes Cesare Borgia who kills Ezio's uncle Mario and sets Ezio off on yet another revenge quest. Ezio learned nothing by the end of Assassin's Creed II.

And it goes without saying that Assassin's Creed Revelations itself was a meandering game which exploited the Ezio fandom. All Ezio does is search for five MacGuffin keys, and by the end of Revelations, he simply comes to say is that he's nothing but a messenger for Desmond in the future. Ezio already realized this when Minerva talked to Desmond through Ezio as Assassin's Creed II came to its cliffhanger ending. Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Revelations are nothing but a massive waste of time. Fuck the Ezio trilogy and fuck the Ezio nostalgia fags who continue to shill this slop.

I'll never get the Brohood platinum because of two multiplayer trophies and it bothers me greatly because it's my overall favourite.

I still remember how excited I was for the game when it was coming out, watching the trailers time and again. I played the MP beta too. It was fun to be a kid back then.

Almost as if II was supposed to be Ezio's first and last game with its ending at the vault being spooky just like Altaïr's seeing the hologram and not being able to destroy the Apple. Brotherhood and everything that came after it was a mistake plot-wise, with the gameplay suffering not long after.

Shut up or I'll fuck your dad

Hey, I've seen this pasta before.

They certainly milked the shit out of Ezio, but he isn't that bad.

Ezio was purposely a yearly release because they had 2 and Brotherhood as one game originally but it was too large, so they split it in three but were worried people would lost interest if multiple years were between. Once they saw people lapped it up and they could make a yearly release, they started the formula and never looked back.

Can someone explain to me what happened to Desmond in AC3?
He walked into a temple, faint and got into the animus.
When he woke up, he retrieved 3 random power sources and learned what happened to Juno and friends.
He also managed to somehow kill Cross and go on a killing spree with the Apple.
In the end, he just said that he want to save humanity and died in 2 seconds.
Did I miss something or that is truly everything?

Also, Does Juno is the main villain of the series?

I always hated the fucker. After coming from Altair and he more stoic character, Ezio and he cock-eating grin and quips made me lose interest in the franchise when they decided to stick with him for so long.

They half ass killed Desmond because they were sick of having to do a present narrative instead of focusing solely on the past characters. So yes, thats all it was.

This one is

I like assassin's Creed but it has the same issues that Far Cry has
>Feels to much like a game
>Every game feels almost identical to the last one
>Shit writing
However, Origins went in the right direction by trying something new with the RPG system. Didn't play Odyssey but I read that Valhalla will focus on Quality over Quantity, which is good.
I'm still pissed that AC killed Prince of Persia though

iirc they killed off juno in a comic either before or after black flag

Just started the remastered version of three and boy oh boy that’s top notch ubi
>jumped on the mast to do the mission goal
>engine flips out and throws me in the air
That shit happened two times and that’s the first sequence
Fucking hell
I hope it gets better
I doubt it from all the hate ac three gets overall but meh
Gotta finish it

Play Unity

This one is the most epic

ACI-AC Brotherhood were peak soul. Revelations was okay and III was an interesting twist with the massive wooded area/ frontier vibe. But every game after that I would not bother with, unless you loved the naval mechanics of III so much you felt like it needed it's own game, in which case you have Black Flag

Post against after finishing III and we talk again.

Take your screenshots like a functioning human, holy shit!

That was all, yeah. The entire game is a glorified fetch quest for him to find batteries to open a door. Then he dies.
If it wasn't clear enough the games were building up to him becoming the ultimate Assassin via the Bleeding Effect and defeating the Templars once and for all the 21st of December of 2012 with the whole Eye of Abstergo thing going on. But they wanted to milk the IP all they could, so Désilets had to go. Then they killed Juno in a comic via Desmond's super sekrit Sage son.
What's worse is that they could've had their cake and eat it too by finishing Desmond's story then making a bazillion spin-off sequels taking place solely in the past. Both parties win. Now you have it half assed with Modern fags disliking the new direction and Past fags disliking the Animus bits.
