THEY FIXED THE GAME SO IT'S NO LONGER AS SHIT! YOU SHOULD TOTALLY BUY IT NOW AND FORGIVE THEM FOR FALSE ADVERTISING!

>THEY FIXED THE GAME SO IT'S NO LONGER AS SHIT! YOU SHOULD TOTALLY BUY IT NOW AND FORGIVE THEM FOR FALSE ADVERTISING!

Why did he feel the need to lie about everything?

The variety of planets is still pretty bland. And so far I've seen nothing close to that E3 trailer still. There aren't even tall trees or dense forests, unless you download mods.

I didn't watch any advertising and the game was what i thought it would be

why do people just ignore all the lies and bullshit he spouted?

Because he's socially awkward and just like me

MUST CONSOOM

bump :3

They don't. But they respect he at least tried to make amends and spent literally years doing so which is something that very rarely happens.

Unironically I think it's because from the interview footage you can tell he's a massive aspie. Given the efforts they've made to fix the game, I'm willing to believe that he didn't do any of that shit maliciously. I think he actually thought all the stuff he thought was going in was going in and then their deadline got slashed, the funding started to dry up and they had to get the game out the door before Sony dropped balls on their chin. I know it's a crazy idea but you can eventually forgive people for making mistakes, especially if they then try really hard to fix their mistakes.

I mean yeah it's not shit anymore, but it's still not really that great.

he was giving interviews about shit that wasn't in the game right before it came out.

even when it did come out he was saying shit was in the game that he knew wasn't there, like multiplayer

I legitimately think he might have just been hardcore sperging at that point.

>he was giving interviews about shit that wasn't in the game right before it came out.
No, that's not true. There was like 6 months of silence before release. It wasn't like 2 weeks before the game came out he still claimed multiplayer would be in the game or something. It was like a year before release he claimed that the game would have multiplayer and then they just neglected to mention that feature had been cut.

Because people are so used to being lied to, they like it. They love the liars and attack anyone that dares to tell them the truth.

>There was like 6 months of silence before release.

that's bullshit

He was just lying like a kid.

The biggest bullshit is the claim they have fixed the game. I don't know if the people trying to peddle here are just desperate shills, or some fucking SC-level cultist fanboys, but my god is it creepy as fuck.
The game is just as fucking awful as it ever was, because the team is literally the most clueless bunch of dipshits I've ever watch flaunder a videogame. People trying to give them a redemption ark are a fucking joke.

Is it? Can anyone provide evidence? I never kept up with No Mans Sky.

>why do people just ignore all the lies and bullshit he spouted?
It's seriously just because he's a numale who wears flannel shirts and has a soibeard. Most game journalists see him as part of their team because of these things, and therefore he and his game must be good no matter what.

even people like internet historian think he's a great guy and ignore his lies

>forced to release game way too early by sony
>can’t say no to sony or tell people the game isn’t ready or else bye bye funding
>game is shit on release
>takes all the valid complaints and missing features and makes a list
>tells his team to sit down and get to work on implementing things they said they would
>implements huge patches, each with shitloads of fixes and features they originally promised
>have outright said multiple times that the game is far from perfect but they’re sticking with it and trying to make it better, which is more than you can say about the vast majority of companies
>user clings to the past and autistically screeches anyway
I guess there will always be autists that aren’t satisfied until someone’s swinging from a tree.

overpriced console shitty indie game?

>We programmes green molecules to make green clouds!

In related news, I would like to watch a video of the light going out in Peter Molyneux's eyes as he's being strangled to death. If that makes me an autist, great.

I find this story to be quite endearing and i respect his effort. I just dont like the game itself. I am not a zoomer I never played minecraft. Crafting and collecting garbage just dont seem interesting to me

>lie constantly even when you know it's impossible to do the things you say
>lie after release about what's in the game
>IT'S NOT HIS FAULT YOU GUISE

fuck you

B-BUT HE GOOD GUY NOW HE FIXED THE GAME 3 YEARS AFTER RELEASE

The game is still shit though

i wonder how the average Zig Forumsirgin would be treated if they were forced to be judged solely by their worst mistakes

Name 5

No Man's Buy

planetary physics
ship classes with meaningful differentiation
faction reputation with meaningful gameplay impact
homogenous resource availability
asteroid landings
space station and fleet destruction
large fleets
traveling freighters
large scale battles the player can join
in-atmosphere battles
NPCs outside trading posts and other docks
ringed planets
sand planets
flying between stars (as opposed to warping via the Galactic interface)
complex creature behaviour including environmental interaction
rivers
points of interest such as large structures and crashed freighters
hacking locked doors
radio chatter
interaction with other players

He was this socially awkward nerd and he just started saying random shit while on camera. And many of those features were probably just things that were cut, things he thought he could add

because youtubers told me he did nothing wrong

Could have been pressure.
He's not a PR guy, I guess he just didn't want to say bad things about his game.
That's not even bullshitting with things like leaderboards counting as multiplayer.

He literally did lie on talkshows, saying players could find each other.

>planetary physics
scrapped because of retarded playtesters
>meaningful
those things were in the game, he never promised them to be "meaningful", not a lie
>homogenous resource availability
what does that mean?
>asteroid landings
who fucking cares
>space station and fleet destruction
>large fleets
>traveling freighters
>large scale battles the player can join
these were in a trailer
>in-atmosphere battles
i'm pretty sure these were always in the game
>NPCs outside trading posts and other docks
when was this promised?
>ringed planets
same as above
>sand planets
again trailer, also there are desertic planets in the game, also big fucking deal
>flying between stars
again, when the fuck did he promise that?
>complex creature behaviour including environmental interaction
never promised that, was just shown in the trailer
>rivers
...what?
>points of interest such as large structures and crashed freighters
those are in the game
>hacking locked doors
pretty sure you could do that
>radio chatter
elaborate
>interaction with other players
he specifically said the chances of meeting someone were astronomically slow so there were no multiplayer interactions planned

But even then people are just hypocrites. They got hyped for a game that was always being advertised as a space walking simulator and then when they were disappointed it wasn't what they convinced themselves it was going to be, they just held onto the missing features shown in trailers as a scapegoat to justify their disappointment. When they didn't matter at all. Even if the game at launch had all those things those people still wouldn't have liked it.

I honestly relate to him. It's easy to go from "lying to keep people off your back" to "lying because you think telling the truth would make people hate you". If he really was a bastard, he wouldn't go fixing shit now would he? He was pressured to lie by people because if he said "this game's not done" before release, people wouldn't buy it, his company wouldn't get paid, and they wouldn't be able to salvage it. I joined the hate bandwagon when NMS first released, yeah, but now I know that hate was misplaced.

>ask for things that he lied were in the game
>Get list
>then try to justify it all

how pathetic

>He literally did lie on talkshows, saying players could find each other.
but if you bought the game EXPECTING to find someone else the fault lies on you because he specifically stated that it was a singleplayer experience and the world was too big to realistically meet up with others

>no arguments
how pathetic. Just another manchildren unable to admit he spent money for a game he made up in his head and then to justify his disappointment he just jumped on the hate train about meaningless missing features that wouldn't have changed his appreciation for the title in the slightest.

>nooooooooooooo those things don't count!!!

wew lad

There is a difference between unlikely and impossible.

>implying i spent money on this garbage

sorry, i'm not a retard who actually thought this shit was possible . so why are you defending some kike lying to you?
