Smash is one of the only games out there that have ACTUAL zero-to-death combos.

Nearly every other actual fighting game played today has some method of combo interruption, or combos will not bring you from 100% to death.

here's a list of words you can use to quickly identify if the person speaking is incapable of doing a DP

>combo cutscene
>can't do anything
>combos should only do x amount
>unnecessary inputs
>(basic fighting game thing) is too hard
>everyone is too good

Almost no modern fighting games actually have escapable combos though, bursts are basically only a thing in crazy anime games but those are out of favor now because every dev is chasing the "I only lose because the game doesn't prioritise fundamentals, if I get hit it's a design flaw" crowd.

Honestly, it's because they never play or stick to fighting games long enough to show the results they wanted, but keep wanting to get into them for some reason even though they clearly hate the genre. Every single one of them want the instant gratification of doing a combo or playing like the pros, but no matter how easy or simple the game is, they'll never be able to beat the people who understand the fundamentals or know how to actually play if they don't practice and study the game themselves. So many devs have tried to cater to them to actually learn the game but little success since people don't have the patience to stick to a game for more than 5 hours.

Even Divekick, the casuals that keep memeing about it being easy to play yet never played it themselves, has it's own bullshit and you'll never beat a pro at that game if you don't practice
