Meh. You can't play online anymore. A lot of the charm of the game was seeing signs of other players. It feels truly desolate with all that gone.

Anything higher than a 4/4, though you can kinda get away with one. A cheap ryzen 1600 is more than enough for stable 30fps and 60fps locked in most games, it will drop in some areas in DeS but other games should be fine. As for intel I wouldn't know since I have a ryzen 2600.

i played it the first time a month or so ago and found it to be easy as hell not just because i had already played dark souls etc but just how the progression is balanced especially with leveling anything gives you defences and magic is ridiculously overpowered

Demon's Souls is the most overrated FROM game.
The combat is janky as fuck, but it is kind of old, so it is understandable.
Almost every boss is just a stupid gimmick that Zig Forums would hate if it had been in any other game.
All the bosses, with the exception of Maneaters and maybe Flamelurker are easy.
World tendency is stupid, and imposible to controll if you play online.
Maiden in black looks like her face is covered in huge disgusting birth marks.
The voice actors all sound like they did the recording with a mic from the 70's while inside a tin box.
The healing grass made difficult stages easy and ruined pvp.
Even the OST wasn't that great.
The atmosphere was fucking spot on, but that's about it.

You can buy a ryzen 1600 af for $85 and emulate the game at 60fps and that will open the doors for more emulation for other consoles like wii, wii u and modern games as well. Better than wasting $60 on a port.
