So, I love this game, but... (SPOILERS HERE)
1. How did nobody know that the final Aeon involved sacrificing a guardian?
2. How did nobody know that Sin embodied the sacrificed? Lady Yunalesca is quite open about it.
3. How did nobody know that Maester Mika is an Unsent? He has been alive for a long time and apparently never aged... as unsents do not.
4. How do people hold their breath underwater for so long?
5. Why did Maester Kinoc get murdered by Seymour and actually die, instead of being an unsent? What was different in the death?
6. Why is Lulu so shit at magic?
7. When Auron says to Isaaru "your pilgrimage is over", why is it? Is Auron going to kill him or something?
8. Why has there not been a new game playing Jetch, Auron and Braska's pilgrimage?

>8. Why has there not been a new game playing Jetch, Auron and Braska's pilgrimage?
This was the only interesting sequel/prequel idea that FFX had and it was obvious. Instead of a great character arc that Jecht could've given us, we got a J-Pop girl band simulator.

Fuck off? The game is old and I did not want to spoiler the whole post. Great contribution.

Don’t question the teachings brudda

>Why did Maester Kinoc get murdered by Seymour and actually die
I guess since Seymour was a summoner he could just send him immediately.
I'm on my first playthrough at the moment, just got the airship and revved up a guide to the optional content to discover I missed the first destruction chest on Besaid and now have to deal with dark valefor, fuck this gay Spira.

OO I feel your pain brudda, but at least Valefore is the easiest of the "dark" bunch. A shame as The staff in that chest was good for the early game.

It's been a while since I've played this, but
>1. How did nobody know that the final Aeon involved sacrificing a guardian?
Didn't literally everybody know about this except for Tidus?

Correct. Everyone knew it was a death mission but him. Tidus doesn't find out until like halfway through the game and then gets angry at everyone for helping Yuna carry out a suicide mission.

No, the summoner everybody knew, not the guardian. Everybody thought the summoner would get the "final summoning" as a Fayth just like any other Aeon, not as a result of killing their own guardian. Back to my question, you would have thought that word on this would have gotten around for any summoner who had more than 1 guardian.

Yes actually that’s why everyone was so grim the whole game while Tidus was a happy go lucky git. He breaks down about it outside Yunalescas iirc

Dont the unsent only appear/stick around if they cling to life or have unfinished business? I feel like the Ronso would be quick to accept the End. Probably why we see no Ronso unsent at all

Wakka said something about it being the last time Yuna would see besaid when she was praying I think

Pretty sure that's right. Also I don't know about unsents not aging because Auron definitely looks way younger in the sphere recordings and zanarkand memories just before he gets rekt.

You DO realize you can spoiler on Zig Forums, right?

Wait, a Guardian has to be sacrificed as well? I don't remember that plot point.

The Guardian becomes the Final Aeon and then becomes Sin.

Please see

As far as i remember they only know Yuna will die, not that they have to sacrifice a guardian

Multiple guardians are rare. Yuna's entourage is seen as unusual by several characters. Wouldnt be surprised if Yunalesca killed off any guardian extras. Not like death is an issue for her.

How'd you do that?

>1. How did nobody know that the final Aeon involved sacrificing a guardian?
They did? Hence why Tidus goes into a crying rage and claims he'll stop it?
>2. How did nobody know that Sin embodied the sacrificed? Lady Yunalesca is quite open about it.
They did?
>3. How did nobody know that Maester Mika is an Unsent? He has been alive for a long time and apparently never aged... as unsents do not.
Rare appearances and didn't really register. Or they just though he had Keeanu reeves syndrom
>4. How do people hold their breath underwater for so long?
Nobody knows
>5. Why did Maester Kinoc get murdered by Seymour and actually die, instead of being an unsent? What was different in the death?
Yuna and Seymour sent him. People forget Seymour himself is a summoner.
>6. Why is Lulu so shit at magic?
She's not?
>7. When Auron says to Isaaru "your pilgrimage is over", why is it? Is Auron going to kill him or something?
yes.
>8. Why has there not been a new game playing Jetch, Auron and Braska's pilgrimage?
Because nobody wants to play FFX but know the ending.

How much blitzball do I have to endure to get Wakka's shit?

This is my point. the Fayth of Lord Zayon (which is the original "final Aeon" is missing at Zanarkand, so Lady Yunalesca asks Yuna to pick a guardian whom she had a bond with to die and become the Fayth of the final summoning. Surely Spira would know that this is the protocol!

How do you think jecht became Sin user? Auron went back afterwards because he was so pissed and Yunalesca bodied him so hard he died.

1. Only people who would be aware of this are those that struggled to make it to Yunalesca to begin with. After an entire pilgrimage, when faced with "someone must die so that all may live", its pretty hard to say no. Theres also no record of a pilgrimage where any guardian actually survived the whole deal (Auron didn't survive, mind you.)
2. See above. Only people.. Yada yada.. none survive.. Yada yada
3. Plenty of people knew Mika was unsent. The shadow religion organization kept it secret. Aging is one thing but after 65 you tend to just look like a wrinkled prune clear through 120 if you make it that long
4. The Al bhed had a device. Blitzball players trained their breath. Its fantasy. Don't think too much about it.
5. Seymour killed him. Presumably he sent him simultaneously. A sending doesn't always require an elaborate dance. See the instance where Yuna sends Lord Jyscal
6. Highest base magic stat. Your argument is invalid
7. Isaaru had to deal with the weight of knowing he couldn't be there with and for his brothers. The implication in this scene was morein along the lines of "its good, bruv. Take a break. We got this."
8. Because Square as we know it is dead and gone and any hope at revitalizing a half decent IP is going to bet with Nomura tier fanfiction bullshit (see FFVIIremake)

around 90 games if you win consistently (i.e abuse jecht shot once then sit in your goal for 10 minutes)

24-26 using the reset trick

unsents can "age." Auron clearly did.

Confirmed idiot who did not play the game. None of your "answers" make sense.

1.
You are referring to the SUMMONER dying. I am asking about the guardian.
2.
No they didn't idiot, hence why nobody knew Sin was Jehct.
3.
Great.
5.
Yuna sent the guy who she did not see and is presented as a dead body to her? Ok...
6.
She is. Yuna's magic is almost twice as high. It pays off to make Yuna learn black magic.
7.
No... As he appears alive in FFx-2
8.
fool

Well I knew that much but I thought it was a unique decision that they made, not something that every summoner guardian combo did. That puts another perspective on the retardation of the religion continuing the cycle.

This. This so much. I hate how they turned Yuna into an ugly slut.

> Surely Spira would know that this is the protocol!
Why would they? Only summoners visit Zanarkand so only summoners or their entourage would know.

Thank you for this reply

So?
it's a 18 years old game and it's available in literally every actual gen console
Who the fuck will get spoiled?

Holy shit real answers instead of just taking out of your ass. To add on: no one really ever has that many guardians. Most would die or be sacrificed. Yuna was abnormal for having tons of guardians. Even her father only had Auron and Jecht and that was pushing things.

Well they did say that Yunalesca sacrificed Lord Zayon as her final aeon so that should have told you it wasn’t a unique thing for Jecht

So... any surviving entourage would know?

The internet. Duh.

>4. How do people hold their breath underwater for so long?

Originally I had thought that, as per the setting, water in Spira was highly oxygenated or something so people could just breathe underwater.

On a second playthrough I found some convos with people who talked about blitzballers being able to hold their breaths for so long, so I guess it's just fantasy logic that people can hold their breath and strenuously exert themselves for hours at a time.

Very few made it to zanarkand user
And fewer still made it to the bottom to see Yunalesca

Everyone knew, but it's a hard and delicate thing to accept that Yuna was going to die so why talk about it with Tidus that's an outsider not part of the social circle

A guardian, not summoner is the question

>So... any surviving entourage would know?
yeah but the summoners and their entourage usually all die fighting sin anyway. Auron and Seymour are the only characters that knew.

Isn't that revealed by Yunalesca much later? How would they know?

Better question, why hasn't there been a serious/played straight sports game around blitzball? Obviously with a redesigned game so it's actually 3 dimensional movement and more intuitive and such.

But yeah, why hasn't there been like a FIFA or Madden style blitzball sports game that has like sports casters and play by play replays, Spiran advertisements and interviews and more.

But take Isaaru as an example. Had Yuna's story not existed, there would be the summoner and his 3 guardians. So 1 would remain to tell the story on how the other guardian had to die for the final summoning, etc.... Do you not think word would get about?

“All those teachings, what were they for?“ Made me question religions as a prepubescent kid.
