Deeper story
Darker atmosphere
Better music
Cooler cast
nostalgia
has the worst gameplay and plot progression compared to 4 and 5 but still considered the best because it was their first persona game.
>deep story
Story isn't deep at all, all it has is a shitty twist around endgame
>darker atmosphere
Because jazz and singing is totally dark atmosphere
>Better music
Baby song isn't that great
>cooler cast
You mean how everyone has a one sided personality? Even Sonic has more better cast than Persona 3 cast.
Then that just shows how absolutely shit 4, 5, and 1 are. OP is mistaken btw. P2 is considered the best in the series.
>when you only read the megaten wiki synopsis
absolute fucking cringe
because people haven't played P2EP
Story, music, atmosphere. Cast is polarizing. Mechanics are commonly considered the worst of the nusonas.
>P2 is considered the best in the series.
By faggots, maybe.
>P2 is considered the best in the series
ignoring the shitty gameplay, I was pleasantly surprised cause I went in trying to hate both those games. Really good stuff, compared to 3 and 4 at least
Because it's contrarian without being too obscure.
1 and 2 are so different many just will never touch it. Doesn't help Persona 2 here in the west was handled weird in one part is just PSX and the other PSP.
4 is seen as just goofy high school scooby doo shenanigans and if you not that big into the cast 4 can get kind of annoying
5 is new so it is more quick to wane from people's favorite.
>de facto entry point into the entire franchise
>contrarian
That's Persona 5
Nobody with a sound mind would rec P5 as an entry point. P3 and P4 would be near unplayable if your first impression of the series is 5; their combat is so much slower and frustrating, especially P3.
Good writing
Best cast
Best music
Atmosphere
And the one that kickstarted it all.
>b-but P1 and P2
Lmao
>best Persona
That's like being called the best turd in the toilet bowl. That's not something worth bragging about.
I get the urge to replay P3 probably once a week but then I remember I'd have to go digging around for my PS3 because faggot Sony never made PS2 digital games playable on the PS4 and they still won't be playable on PS5.
I don't think it is but I do think it's the second best behind the P2 duology and it's the last meaningful Persona. 4 and 5 might be better mechanically but they're too derivative of 3.
still just edgy teenager bullshit that's fake deep
it was back when it came out you idiot.
Probably one of the most hardest megaten games I've played.
Maniac mode proved to be a real challenge specially around the last 2 blocks.
To your question I believed everyone answered it already but one thing I loved about P3 is their cast. They have depth and felt like actual characters, and that they have actual arcs of their own. Not tied to social links is a big plus too.
It has Junpei
The atmosphere is dark and heavy, and the ending in p3 is also the most impactful. There isn't really strong positive or negative change in quality throughout the games that people care about(p3, p4, p5) so people just gravitate to the one that has the most impactful story & feeling which is probably p3. P4G and P5Royal are better games overall imo.
Junpei is such a bro.
Soul.
It has Yukari
The most basic of thots?
P3 shows its age, but I agree with prior poster that the characters in P3 are far more plot relevant than that following games in the series. Even Junpei, who is just some dweeb with a hero complex, plays into the story in a relevant way, and there's more character drama. P4/P5 are somewhat limp, as everyone in the group gets along and everything is roses, which is kinda shit. P5 almost had it with Morgana leaving for like 2 days, but the basis for that drama was fucking awful (characters don't speak their feelings, misunderstandings ensue, garbage drama pisses me off).
Not like any girls in nusona is memorable either.
>most basic thot
>literally keeps you in distance because she has trust issues
>S.Link reverses if you push yourself too much on her
At least pretend you know what your Reddit buzzword mean
liking persona 2 doesnt make you cool or smart
