Games that are wholly unique, or at the very least has nothing that quite matches the feel of it.

First and only game in the stretch genre. Game sucks btw.
Man, Tokyo Jungle was so fucking weird, but I loved it.
I played Not For Broadcast recently on steam, it's really fun. It's kind of like old FMV games like Night Trap, but manages to feel like its own unique thing
This not really an one of a kind game since it had a lot of sequels and spinoffs, but still there's nothing similar to this franchise.
Obligatory LSD post
Tokyo Jungle 2 when
Best one-off here.
Death Stranding
>First and only game in the stretch genre.
All of Keita's games are like this
Unironically buying a Playdate for his silly robot game
Assuming that thing ever comes out
Especially the ending, and what happened to the humans.
in my opinion nothing else really comes close
Odama
Came from the same guy behind Seaman and was a late release for the gamecube that was a combination of pinball with voice activated RTS elements that is unlike anything I've seen before.
Sound Voyager for the GBA is a fun little game that you don't even need to see to play
>someone made a porn version
>it's remarkably good
I played that for a bit at my uncle's house over Christmas. Shit was fucking weird.
I know there's multiple games that let you play as zombies, but none of them do it quite like Stubbs.
The sequal
even the sequel was a gross departure from the original and it fucking sucked cuz of it
Also has a bangin soundtrack
Ive played Clock Tower 2 and 4 and none of them have quite the feeling that Clock Tower 1 does, not saying that 1 is a great game either, but it really feels unique.
Not really one of a kind but I have yet to see someone else make something like this youtube.com
It may be a JRPG, but there's no JRPG, or really that many other games, with the same feel as Okage.
There are other minigame compilations but not quite like this
I'm loving the Ape Escape mentions here lately
I miss games when games like this were common desu. Game looked like an early PS2/GCN game but was just as imaginative and original as one.
LOLLIPOP LOLLIPOP OH LOLLI LOLLI LOLLLI
Every platformer ever made you dumb nigger.
Mario 64
Banjo-Kazooie
Spyro
Conker's
Mother fucking Gex
Literally all the same game
I hated the dumb cunt in the UFO. I wanted to strangle that monkey.
oooOOOOOOOOOH BUM BUM BUM BUM
>tfw killing an elephant and sabertooth tiger for survival as a fucking pomeranian
Had lots of fun with this. Great music too.
It's still the perfect game to do a VR adaptation in my books. No 2d menus, it has gesture support, grabbing&throwing villagers, and animal petting.
My prob is any 'one of a kind' game I can think of had a single sequel at the least. Ah well, I'll throw this one out there since the sequel never left Japan. Loved this shit even though it badly needed a sprint option.
>t. never played it
Dwarf Fortress?
exactly, vr black and white (with haptic feedback if that ever becomes a thing)
is my dream game.
i was reminded of how badly i want it when i saw this davigo game recently
Man I loved the story, aesthetic and humor in this game but the gameplay and camera was garbage. i just couldn't finish it.
TWEWY
Yes I know that it has a phone and Switch port but I highly doubt any of them captured the feeling and translated every aspect of the game into the ports in a perfect way. The game perfectly took everything the ds hardware had to offer and used it to the max.
Other picks: Chulip, Baroque, Evergrace, Grimgrimoire...
Uh, looking back, did the PS2 devkit came with a free bag of weed or some shit?
please connect this retard :)
Cubivore but it's not as great as everyone says it is.
it hurts lads
I wish there'd be more game-ass VR games and not gimmicky one-off tech demos or multiplayer-only titles.
Ironically enough I think Cubivore and Tokyo Jungle are the closest to being similar to one another.
Shit, forgot pic
