who has the best crit quote in the series? i don't think "pick a god and pray" has been topped yet
Fire emblem
Crit quotes are gay. Soldiers shouldn't be throwing out wacky quips during a serious war.
fuck off there fun
I recently played my first Fire Emblem to completion, Henry said "haha'm gonna kill you!" and I couldn't help but smile.
Instead of crit quotes I need a good romhack to play.
I need new maps.
is there a make your own map/game program?
FE builder or SRPG studio, but I'm too much of a brainlet to actually make a FE game.
Who needs quote when you have sick ass crit animation?
gba embelm had some sick crits. also liked lyns
I don't know about you guys, but I don't wanna make a new fire emblem, development takes the fun out of the design, because you already know everything about it before it's playable.
being able to make maps just sounds fun. would have to have the touch of the tism to make a full rom hack
Even if you design it it could still be fun.
Pretty sure play testing the map till it worked properly would be what kills the fun of it.
getting a super mario type thing would be fun
I don't even like Mario Maker,
It's too limited.
I used to make large scale physic and sprite packs for SMBX, that was a good level maker.
correct. just an idea on how it could be. i feel like maps are often samy in fe and making your own and sharing them would be awesome. i want more big maps with multiple objectives
I feel like big maps would be harder to keep interesting even with multiple objectives.
fe 4 made it work on some maps. mounts do become the meta though. what would you say makes maps better
Not brought up often but Berkut's "Know your damn place" is pretty fucking based
all of berkuts line were great. god i wish echoes was fun to play.
DON'T STRUGGLE
all of berkuts lines were great. top VA in the series. god I wish echoes was fun to play
unsure for quotes, i think Leif has the best crit animation though.
never played 776. it any good?
Very good, interesting mechanics that tie into the story/themes, fun maps, very clean graphics (late SNES so they figured it out). The only slouch is the story's villains but other than that it's a very nice protagonist-driven story. It;s a very standard but great FE.
ima assume we have a good translation at this point?
Man, fuck you.
Siege tome range Hell + Poison unavoidable deaths in one turn
Actually yes. It came out last year, has working menus and isn't filled with "haha meme text" like the OG fanslation. It's called Project Exile. Go for it.
thanks. playing tellius right now. ill check it out after
I just finished Awakening, my first FE ever.
I loved it, the story, and it's characters.
Any recommendations?
infini-range warp/rescue/berserk/theif in addition to getting to actually steal and use those siege tomes yourself. The ballistas are a little bullshit sometimes but it just means you gotta play more tactically
The creator turned out to be an absolute fucking drama baby after release, it's a wonder it ever made it out. Guy had autistic spergouts about his "copyrighted content" because some people were trying to take his translation and translate it into other European languages. Always acts like the community should suck his dick for what he's done. Thank God he actually finished before that.
Path of Radiance
Don't play Fates it sucks
If Awakening was your first, then Sacred Stones (GBA, emulate, or Wii U virtual console) will be the best next game for you to try out. It's the perfect bridge for Awakening fans to get to the classic games.
Yeah he's a massive asshole to everyone and the rest of his team but at least the translation finally came out. That would've sucked if all the drama happened right before release and then we were denied yet another chance of a complete FE5 translation
