Never even heard of it. Looks like the dev is stuck in the 90s

and that's a good thing!

Looks like a hybrid between Baldurs gate, Fallout and a Starcraft 2 mod, and frankly it's not bad. Janky but not bad.

oh shit. I didn't even know this was a thing. I passed on the first one years ago and bought the After- series instead.

shill me, bro

new xcom looks great

>game looks boring in the first few seconds
>dude fires a fucking mortar

I'M INTERESTED, it looks like X-Com, and I want to bomb the ayys.

Now that's what I call sound desing
I wish I could shill this, but they're doing a poor job showing their game. It's all old stuff

Those are probably the worst sound effects I've ever heard

i think thats half the reason i passed... it had good mechanics, but everything else was sub-par (and xenonauts was starting to shape up into something at the time)

Ahem...

Why do these games always do an exact copy of the Xcom storyline? You never see them do these strategic over layer/squad tactics games where you play cyberpunk gangs in a mega-city or space pirates or superspies stopping Bond villain crimes, it's always secret alien invasions.

anyone else hype for xenonauts 2?

wasn't that SWAT 2?

Go play chimera squad and stroke one off

Is the first one any good?

it's a literal xcom clone, it has some problems but if you enjoy that stuff it is worth playing

Nu-Xcom or old Xcom because I've never played the old ones and don't care for the new ones

They're slowly fixing their alpha, but I won't say I'm hyped. It lacks the cool factor if you ask me.

That should be immediately obvious from looking at even one screenshot.
Retid

I heard this is in development hell right now. They were set for 2019 release.

>Development hell
Not really, you can check their forums and check the monthly updates. Never trust an ETA from a Kikestarter project

Yeah. It was supposed to release ages ago. Then it got pushed back over and over.

But UFO 1 wasn't all that good in the first place

Why the fuck are they so slow. Is it a one man project?

They're itinerating, it's not like they have a clear plan to follow. They ditch ideas, try some mechanics and them change these for others... Air combat has changed twice and it doesn't seem to be nearly complete. They said they want to make a solid base for the early access, which should go way faster,

>Gameplay Release #1
>first half of the video is watching your squad get ambushed and killed
>Mortars indoors
>janky and weird FPS
would play/10

Where is this even being released

>I'M INTERESTED, it looks like X-Com, and I want to bomb the ayys.
I always really liked the art direction of Xenonauts, a lot more than any other games in the genre.

Fuck this reminds me of a game called abomination the nemesis project. I played it as a child and found it the atmosphere and enemies pretty disturbing and creepy.
