>Joycon's been drifting for a while now >It's become unbearable >Can't just get new ones at Gamestop/Best Buy because COVID >Can't do curbside pickup because no Gamestop near me has new ones in stock >Can't fix it myself because who the fuck has a tri-head screwdriver that small >Can't get them on Amazon because for some reason the price is inflated up to $96 and I'm fucking poor >Compressed air doesn't do shit >Cleaning solution doesn't do shit
Anyway Zig Forums, what's the quickest way to kill myself?
I'm sorry you had to learn this the hard way user, but it's not too late for redemption. Come with me, and I'll show you a world of superior hardware, personal device control, and unlimited libraries.
Then play with a real controller? The fuck is wrong with you
Jason Hernandez
You tried electrical contact cleaner? Controller completely off, a few drops in the top and bottom of the stick beneath the flap, multiple rotations between each time. Wait a while for it to dry and give it a go.
Compressed air just has a chance of pushing the debris (if this is a case where the issue is debris) further in.

I bought one for 20 bucks at Walmart, pretty good

>Can't just get new ones at Gamestop/Best Buy because COVID Do you live in a bomb shelter or something, OP? Don't let fake news cause you stress.
>In a Walmart >Woman starts coughing out of control >Everyone that checks on her isn't wearing a mask The Stand in real life.
You can get a replacement knob and screwdriver set on Amazon for fucking $15. Stop being a Jew and just fix the fucker. It took me 10 minutes tops to fix mine.
Brody Young
If shipping is included then $96 is only a 20% markup over the $80 MSRP. Given the current situation that's not terrible.
Another option is Walmart or Bestbuy. You can check stock using their sites or sites like StockTrack.
You could also just accept used controllers.
Gavin Green
>Don't let fake news cause you stress Tell that to Gamestop and Best Buy, because they're closed either way.

Buy a playstation next time

I meant that it's the Joycons that are expensive on Amazon- but I'll look into that, thanks. Honestly I'm hesitant to just crack open my controller because I doubt I'm smart enough to be able to do anything helpful, but it's better than nothing.
I've made the mistake of getting a pre-owned joycon before; lasted about two days before the drift got even worse than my last one, and I felt like an idiot.
Wow I'm a dumbshit, I didn't think of Walmart.
That opens up my options a little. Thanks, Zig Forums.
I don't have any "thankful" reaction images, so, have a Goomy.
You know when mine started drifiting I bought a repair kit for like 15 bucks on amazon. It comes with several screwdrivers and two new analog sticks.
Colton Gutierrez
Just spray some wd 40 under the sticks flap. Literally the quickest squirt you can muster, any more and it'll seep under the contact and reduce the analogs click to a permanent mush. It does work but it is indeed a temporary solution and eventually will require a brand new joycon.
Hudson Clark
Same. My right joycon started drifting right around the beginning of the lockdown so I can't send them in or get new ones. I have a pro controller, but I play 90% in handheld. I've mostly been sticking to games that don't use the right stick. I thought the drift thing was overblown for 3 years and now that it happened it fucking sucks.
Lucas Reyes
I've repaired my stick twice and the tools have come with the stick both times.
