They've both fallen a lot since last gen (which stumbled a lot as well, but evened out). I don't think we'll see the effects of how much customer faith Sony and MS both lost until next gen; they're still cruising last gen's goodwill.

Look at Xbox. The 360 era feels like yesterday, but it's ancient history. Xbox has been trash from 2010 to 2020. An entire decade. Let that sink in. That's a long time. Sony are just about getting away with it, 'cause they still have exclusives.

Spinning disks were a mistake. They were always a mistake. Cartridges were and still are superior. Fortunately, now that we're moving on to SSDs with forced installation next gen we can finally move on and leave this failed technology in the past. If only diskfags would stop living in the past we could get rid of the disk drive entirely.

Xbox fucked up but for sure if that was a Sony state of play it wouldve been called an amazing display of new titles and how nice of sony to give a shoutout to smaller devs before releasing the big guns.
