Who is Legendary Big M?

so what are the archtrees?

What happened to the snake niggas? Why are they not present in Dark Souls 3 even though heavily referenced?

What was up with Big Hat Logan's big hat? Surely that would hinder his ability to cast spells

One of the primordial forms of life that existed prior the age of fire. What are you confused about?

What does is Gwyn's daughter are?

He's called Big Hat Logan because he wears a big hat.

What was gwyn's tax policy?

just confused if they had served a much larger puprose.

>just half write a story and leave massive blanks in the lore for fans to bitch and moan about online.

And that is why Souls games are the masters of marketing.

What is "the deep"?

Why are there different types of Dark and different types of Fire?

The size of his hat grants him more power

The snakes are implied to have been killed off-screen. There is a painting in Ashes of Ariandel that shows a bunch of hollows killing snakes. As to why Miyazaki decided to not have them appear on-screen in DaS3, you'd have to email him

how hard do you suck vaati vidyas cock?

Is there any regular life/society in the world of DS or is the entire world a desolate landscape of crumbling castles, godmonsters and zombie knights?

Nobody knew who he was until he put on the hat.

Why is it so common for female characters in the series to be blind and lack foot-wear? What's the lore significance?

>What is "the deep"?
The un-corrupted form of the Dark as distinct from the Abyss, which is wild or corrupted darkness. Although since the age of fire has extended past its' expiration date, it has been infected nonetheless by rot. Abyss is to darkness as Chaos is to fire.

how do you explain the fact that theres way more than kaathe and frampt in the end of fire ending of dark souls then? this literally has nothing to do with them.

why did gwyn employ a fat fuck like smough?

Depends on which game. In Dark Souls 1 and 2 there are still societies outside of Lordran/Drangleic. In Dark Souls 3, everything is fucked.

Why do I hate my life?

Is it because of Ornesten do?

lmao is this really what passes for lore in Jap games?

why are undead so afraid not to link the fire? What is so bad about world without fire?

What needs explaining? There were more serpents than Kaathe and Frampt but they're all dead or hiding by the time of DaS3

what that mask that the firekeeper in 3 wear do?

Das the sybmbal on Kyo Busanagi jakket.

Why do you retards lap a collage of incomplete little stories as if it was written by Dostoevsky?
Do you niggers undertand that what you think is archeological work (one of the most unreliable fields of study due to the nature of its subject) actually isn't since your chinks wrote nothing to fill in the blanks and thus there is no real truth to be discovered?

Undead societies are shitholes, life is more comfortable and stable when fire is granting blessings like "warmth" and "light" and "mortality."

Thanks user. Am I right in saying that in 3 you play as a guy who previously failed to light the fire, that's been "resurrected" by the gods as a last ditch hail mary attempt to light the fire again? I never even finished DS1 but lore is dope

Darkness is neutral that why undead enjoy resting in it. But the darkness can manifests things. The abyss is basically a manifested nightmare. But it can be used to create things like painted worlds, humanity, monster, etc.

There are plenty of references to them directly influencing the recent history of lothric. Nothing implies that they are dead. Gwynevere has a strong in all 3 games but her status is always unknown. Not seeing her does not mean that she is dead, likewise with Frampt and Kaathe.

Dostoevsky is a meme and you sound like a kid in your reflexive attempt to namedrop him as the apex of literature.

>Recent history of Lothric
Lothric has spanned at least two linking cycles, bro, there's nothing "recent" about it.

>Responds with butthurt.
I accept your capitulation.

I'm on my first playthrough so I haven't pieced everything together yet but
why is the character you start with undead? what's the backstory of the MC

what happens to humans and undead after the First Flame is linked? Do they stay undead or do they all wither away on the spot?

How is the chosen one chosen? Are you even supposed to be a "chosen one" or just next in line to try rekindling the fire?

So why does it work when Miyazaki does it, but its shit when JJ Abrams does it?

they contracted the curse, got thrown in an undead asylum, and rotted in there for who knows how long, until oscar saw that they were lucid and dropped them the key

dark souls 1: you are an undead guy who got captured by Lloyd Knights and tossed in the asyoum
Dark souls 2: you are an undead who was losing his mind and wandered into drangleic by way of the ghost tornado
dark souls 3: depends on your starting class

Dark Souls 1 stated that they die. In Dark Souls 3 it's implied that they spontaneously burst into flame.

Why does Dark souls 3 lore suck so much?

There are individual kingdoms with their own cultures and traditions, but in-game there's only a handful of NPCs and items that mention what they could be like

Explain how iron keep is above earthen peak

The legend of the chosen one is supposed to be created by the lords so they can always hope a human will try to mantain the age of fire as they are capable of fighting the abyss (lords are weak to it)

Explain Ornstein. Was that the real in DaS1? Who was that in 2? Was that the real in DaS3?

Miyazaki writes the complete story and then leaves stuff out on purpose to make it seem mysterious.
JJ Abrams has no story and pretends otherwise as he makes it up as he goes along.

No I don't mean the player character when they link the fire, I mean all the humans still living in other kingdoms that aren't Lordran. When the undead curse goes away after the flame is linked, what happens to the undead in the outside world?

They tell every Undead they're the chosen one, in the hope that eventually one will be strong enough to link the fire.

Respond if you must?
