6 would be top three in the series if Roy had better growths before promotion.
7 is good.
8 has a nice story, but the "open" design trivializes the game's difficulty. But it has a nice story.
The spirtes, animations and music are all top fucking notch.
I'll say that the Tellius games, the DS games, and Awakening and Fates did not surpass the GBA era. Echoes is in the same level, and TH has good game design, amazing music, and the plot of the game is great. But the graphics and animation leave a whole fucking lot to be desired.

The GBA was pretty shitty. I was like 13 when it came out and just could not play one unless I went on a long trip. The system could hardly be called a portable SNES, the sound chip in it was a joke and the screen could barely handle much. I think the DS had a much bigger impact with it having online, and having so many games

Yeah, 6 is great, has some of the best maps in the series and has great characters to build (not personality wise but use wise). 7 is a step down but still fun and 8 is a weird FE, not my fav, but if you like grinding and seeing weak units grow into super badasses its the game for you. I think its a bad FE but a good game.
Yeah, man, first time players will surely care or even notice Seth soloing.

What are some underrated or hidden gems on the GBA?

meh. It's alright, but there's not really any reason to replay it and the game throws a million units at you when all you really need to get through the game are paladins, generals, and a couple of healers.

They're excellent. Despite not having non-combat systems with as much depth as more recent entries, the level of care that went into the sprite animations, music, character designs, and map layouts remain uncontested.

You only have to play until the faggot with the leather shield to know that gaiden is dogshit, man. It only gets worse from there, peaking in shittiness once you hit the fucking swamps in Celica's part.

4 is sorta slow and easy but the story makes up for it. 5 also has a solid story and the gameplay is unique and interesting most of the time.

i'm not a big fan of sacred stones, but the first two are my favourite games, ever. that does not mean i dislike the later fire emblems, i'm a big fan of awakening and conquest, but those gba 2d sprites have just that something that speaks to me
