Automatic, I live in Yurop so I drive stick IRL but I just can't be arsed to focus on that as well in a racing game.

Manual, but it depends on the game

Manual always.

If a car only comes with an automatic IRL like an R35 GTR then I drive with automatic in the game but everything else usually standard.

Manual

automatic
>its easier to do in real life manual than on a fucking game

manual, downshifting into corners feels amazin irl and in game

90% automatic with down shifts
10% manual when i'm trying to find new thrills

Don't racing games always reduce your top speed for choosing AT?

Reminder that the only two groups of people that use manual IRL are the poor and the very rich.

Manual since I have a wheel. Used to be automatic when I played on a game pad

Wat

I thought it only messes with acceleration?

pretty sure none of the most expensive cars come in manual though, everything is double clutch unless you are talking about classics

You have to be incredibly fucking poor for that to even be true at the bottom of the market now, half the reason I still have my nearly 20 year old shitbox is because of what a pain it is to find manual cars in my price range.

No

The R35 is paddle shift, vidya manual is closer to how you'd drive it on a track IRL than auto.

Porsche literally just released a 7 speed manual 992. Sports cars are about feels not benchracing.

They're mostly fucking boring enough with manual as it is, why would I want to play a video game where I regularly do literally nothing for 10 or 20 seconds at a time.

t. american

Manual is a thing for high school fags to spend their money on to make louder and drive around thinking they're Vin Diesel

Manual with wheel & stick. Auto with controller.

Based projecting user

every time I drive an auto I panic-step on the non existant clutch pedal. It's so nerve wracking and I hated it.

manual for most games

any racing wheel recommendations ?

What's the point of manual cars anymore? Whenever I ask people the reasons are always
>it gets better gas mileage
>it's funner
Firstly that was true in the past but modern automatic cars get just as good mileage as manual transmissions, and secondly who the fuck drives a car for fun? For 99% of the population it's just a method of getting from point A to point B. Anything to make the trip require less effort on the driver is a win in my book. Fucking cucks.

fair enough, seems like manufacturers would prefer double clutch because they are just faster but yeah, feel is important

me

Manual w/o clutch and ABS
Sequential shifting is still the fastest, and even in a modern auto you are always sequential shifting, unless you have a laferrari or the 10 speed Ford Auto, even then on the track you want to be sequential shifting on the 10 speed.

because you can actually see and predict the road conditions ahead and act accordingly.

neither. I just use gas and brake.

I bet you're Gen X.
Only your generation see's automobiles as a tool rather than an extension of their persona.
>Who the fuck plays video games for fun?
>Why do something you don't make money off of?
This is what you sound like

yeah nobody likes driving there totally isn't a multi-billion dollar market for it

Really shitty cars (ones you rarely see in america) feel absolutely awful with automatic and cost more.
Driving manual distracts from how shitty they are.

Alright what kinda cars do you faggots drive?

>he drives a regera
based

There is no advantage to driving a manual transmission anymore. The computer chips absolutely smoke human reaction time now.

Manual every time. Auto feels like I lose control over the car which I'm fine with in IRL driving but not racing games

>tfw you perfectly rev-match your down shift
one of the few things that makes me feel alive
