Did you have fun user?
Yes.
I still do.
ZG dropping was the best thing to happen so far. Getting my guild split into the fun team and the tryhard team means I can actually fuck around during raids.I hope it leads to us breaking off into a new guild.
Yeah it was fun for a bit. I leveled a dwarf hunter as main to like 50 something and made like one of every alliance class up to 30 or so to try them out. Got what I needed out of game in like 2 months then called it a day.
I'm predicting 90% of guilds will fall apart on Twin Emperors or C'Thun (including my own), because those are the first fights with any real challenge to them.
There's no point in being in a try hard guild right now because everything is a complete joke.
Come on, a couple of pulls aren't going to kill guilds even if they are used to killing bosses in 15 seconds
I know guilds that fell apart on Firemaw, so yeah I think bosses that are actually hard will be a wall for a large majority of guilds.
>Run out of shit to do
>Level alt
>Have fun
>Do everything i can on that alt
>Bored again
Is it an endless cycle?
The start of Classic was the best
The experience of leveling with an entire server, people grouping up and helping each other, was amazing.
After a few months of nothing but MC and Ony though I got horribly bored, parsing culture started taking over the game, and I quit.
Will probably play TBC Classic when it releases because that was when I first started raiding in retail.
Man I fucking hate Arenas, balancing around that shit ruined class design.
Yes, when you beat a game you can pretty much quit or play again.
Is it even worth it anymore? I lvled a character till lvl 25 then I quit. Some people told me its hard to do dungeons now since everyone is lvl 50+ and pvpfags make leveling miserable. Dunno if I should go back or not
why does he have cotton hill's legs?
I don't think they are hard. Not in the sense that the guilds would lack coordination and throughput to defeat them - some retail guilds beat the bosses and basically no one is bad as them. The problem here is the way people approach the game: If you go in expecting you can faceroll your way through as though you were doing, I don't know, Wrath dungeons, that won't fly. Neither would whoring the meters without giving anything any consideration at all.
However, what I expect most guilds to do, if they wipe a couple of times, is to step back and go "hey guys, maybe we actually try to do the boss properly this time instead of facerolling or whoring the meters", which I believe is enough for basically every guild.
Yes, but like said, it's not the same as it was. If you get to 60, you can still find a raiding guild relatively easy, and right now raiding is as easy as it's ever been, meaning you can get drunk with your bros and go do endgame content all in a couple of hours and spend the rest of the night partying.
The game is pretty much dead outside of raidlogging and pvp though.
No because I listened to Zig Forums about the alliance being full of better players and then I couldn't play the game when I got to hillsbrad.
I did, hit its peak in Wotlk and i quit after it was over, any story or gameplay was done for me when cata was announced.
I feel like the people who are disappointed by Classic are those who didn't even play on private servers when they had the opportunity to do it, because they didn't actually care about Classic.
Well, good thing TBC didn't balance the game around arenas. Representing the peak class uniqueness, it's further away from the kind of symmetric balance you'd expect from a PvP-balanced game than vanilla is.
what the fuck is this zoomer shit
I ended up getting to be an officer in a guild because I'm the sole druid and my retarded GM thinks that when AQ comes out he'll be able to retain most of our raiders if we do a 3 hour long MC/BWL in one night and AQ in the other. The stubborn fuck won't drop MC or just host a pug for it because he wants thunderfury so bad. It's going to be the death of this guild.
>3 hour MC/BWL
I'm sorry but your guild is fucking shit and will die at AQ no matter what.
Hour and 20 minutes for each is pretty standard.
I tried to convince my guild to stop doing full MC clears and just do Garr, because we need two Garr bindings for both of our tanks. One of the officers said no because people still needed T2 leggings. He said we'll stop doing MC once AQ comes out, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.
Not for MC it isn't. If you're taking any more than an hour to do it your guild isn't going to make it.
Every time someone says the game gets hard the content turns out to be not actually hard. BWL was going to be the pleb filter, and now AQ40 is. It won't be.
If you watched that and felt nothing then you weren't there I guess.
MC is a longer dungeon than BWL. It takes most guilds 20-30% longer to clear MC than it does to clear BWL.
I quit due to endgame. its just shit. the journey was the best part. or would have been if they didn't start with the easy mode patch.
Didn't make friends just assholes who use you to level up faster then go their own way at max.
Fuck the game and its community.
it was really fun, BC would be better though.
i want arena and class balance.
If i watched a video of some underage unironically making wojak OCs (complete with obligatory wojak waifus for his fursona) and using them as dudefeels bait and felt anything but disgust I'd blow my fucking brains out
Shit tier guilds taking 3 hours to clear MC/BWL are definitely not going to be able to finish AQ40. Not due to how hard the content is, but due to burnout and an inability to maintain a healthy roster because of it.
If your guild is actually good at the game you shouldn't be spending more than an hour in BWL and an hour in MC.
I can't imagine being as autistic as you. Who cares if he used wojaks, the content is fucking good. I guess you can continue to live by your arbitrary rules though and hate things because they violate them.
beginning was fun. Leveling with people, just casually adventuring and questing. Overall was a fun time. As we neared lvl 60, ppl began to be more about epics than actually adventuring. People would just spam brd and not accept a non-mage dps. Everything just became a minmax fest which killed all the fun. Stopped playing within a few weeks after hitting 60. Still dont even have my epic mount. Just dont have the time and cant be bothered to play with shitheads. Maybe its just my realm I dont know
It's interesting you say this because on my server the guilds that are known for being super tryhard and getting sub-40 minute BWL/MC clears are usually hemorrhaging players or having internal drama in one way or another. Our server first MC guild ended up getting into a huge fight over loot funneling to top parsers exclusively and pretty much everyone either left or transfered.
