Hmm, that transparent pixel is really obvious. Probably wouldn't have been as bad if he used sand, but still.
No pattern compares to the ingame paths or clothes in New Horizons. The textures have just gotten so much better while the pattern tool has stagnated.

Make it a similar enough color to one of the available paths that you don't notice it
It's not worth trying though. You're always going to be disappointed by the texture underneath coming through or the lack of noise or the transparent pixel.
