What’s his appeal?
What’s his appeal?
I think he's basically supposed to be a male bayonetta. So he's crass and somewhat self-absorbed. A little less classy than bayo though
>I think he's basically supposed to be a male bayonetta
So you've never actually played his games?
Not really. I did see a play through of one of the games on youtube though. Seemed real vulgar to me. Does he not fit the same niche? Is he actually a refined gentleman?
He's a cocky asshole with the skill to back it up. Also he's a perverted degenerate which is relatable but not evil.
Hes an autistic anime obsesses weeaboo. He's nothing like Bayonetta.
He's a weeb that idolizes and romanticises killing for sport, but when he actually goes through and has to kill people he realizes that it's a hollowing and addicting thing to some people.
My main point was that he holds nothing back and is cocky just like bayo. But fair enough, I guess he's more of a nerd than he seems at first glance
Reminder that Badman is the inverse of Travis
>Jap that loves American culture (Full name is Shigeki Birkin)
>Fights for his family, unlike Travis who's running away from his in TSA
>When he finally gets Badgirl back he grows apart from her, which is the opposite of what happens to Travis at the end of TSA
TSA was pure kino
They ever bringing these games all to switch. Never had a wii but I'd buy em for switch if they did the 2 pack thing like bayo. Story seems kinda kino even if I hear bad things about the gameplay
That's a cool design
Suda has said multiple times that it's up to Marvelous if we get NMH ports. If you have a decent machine and wiimotes you can emulate the games perfectly, complete with motion controls. You should think about checking out Suda's other game's too.
The designs for NMH games are great.
Guess that's a no then. Would have happened already otherwise
Suda is in talks with Marvelous about it. They fully own NMH1 whereas the rights for NMH2 are split between them. Wouldn't expect them any time soon. Story in 1 is very kino, not so much 2. The actual combat gameplay is very satisfying albeit kind of simple, a lot of the surrounding stuff is kind of eh.
The talks started at last year's E3 and Grasshopper is knee deep in NMHIII. They'll probably still happen though.
>”2020 release? Good luck!”
It’s delayed isn’t it....
I hope so. It started development in early 2019. Less that two years of development for a relatively big title can only lead to an unfinished buggy mess.
It was probably never going to make 2020. When it was revealed at E3 it had only been in development for ~6 months. At the end of July 2019 (~7-8 months) Famitsu reported it was only 25% done and at the beginning of November 2019 (~10-11 months) it was only 35 to 40% done. If nothing had interfered a December 2020 release (~24 months) would have been ~95% done. Due to the pandemic, Suda has been sitting around at home playing indie games on Switch more than the average Zig Forums user at that
NMH3 ends with Travis travelling to a war-thorn 26th Ward and teaming up with Kusabi and the Killer7 to take down Uehara Perfecto Despertado.
It's all been leading up to this moment.
lol no, 3 ends with Travis and Sylvia becoming immortal and fucking off into outer space for eternity.
Why not both?
yeah, i guess that could happen after the 26th ward stuff. maybe that's how travis gets a silver eye for her
fuck
What really matters is will he get his 50,000 yen?
> who's running away from his in TSA
But he was only apart from them because he was worried about them getting caught in the crossfire when assassins would come to kill him.
Weeb hero gives weebs the fantasy of actually leaving the house
Can he just tell Sylvia to fuck off
The “cool” boomer Zig Forums wishes they were.
Like a popculture dante.
I dropped the game here, too annoying
>the motion control icons
Fucking amazing
>he watched a playthrough instead of playing the FUCKING game
Kill yourself.
Self aware weeb loser that somehow manages to turn his nerdish obsession into a deathly skill. He's everything every 90s nerdy kid wanted to be when they grew up.
Great fuckin work whoever made these
Being an affectionate parody of his own audience.
I know the final boss was an absolute terrible thing, but the general consensus is that they made it that way to drive home the fact that revenge leaves you with an empty, unsatisfied feeling.
I think he's probably my favorite "joke character" in gaming. He's a perfect parody of how most action movie (or action game, action anime, whatever) protagonists would have to be socially dysfunctional glassy-eyed psychopaths and how the nerds who idolize them are just as bad or worse. The (first) game's willingness to constantly shift him between "perfectly market-tested action hero" and "biggest loser in the history of video games" is a major part of why it works at all.
Now THIS is kino
Shame 2 fucked up his characterization a bit, TSA actually gave him character development which was great though.
Travis is the type of person to play NMH and think its the best game in the fucking world
