fallout's default skin textures and shitty polygonal faces just makes it look like a botched plastic surgery job

YOU WOULDN'T UNDERSTAND

He just wanted to do fun science experiments and fuck with Wasteland subhumans in peace.

To haphazardly replace random people with synths and perpetuate the rumors that they are replacing people with synths.

Ambiguous technological improvement, at the very least the other three faction leaders had a clear goal in mind;
Maxson - Clear the wasteland of abominations and secure all potentially dangerous technology
Desdemona - Free all Synths from the control of the Institute and allow them to live free lives
Preston - Retake the Castle and establish a network of Settlements across the Commonwealth and build back up an armed protective force

It certainly doesn't help that Shaun is supposed to function as more important than the other three since he's the driving force for the player. They should've either had the plot focus around the player's relationship with Shaun similar to F3 and had the plot try to convince Shaun of the errors in his ideology, or if the player agrees with Shaun to succeed in some sort of grand goal of Shaun's similar to how in F3 the player carries out the wishes of James (give or take some Anti-Enclave purge virus).

Otherwise the plot should've not had Shaun or any of the player's Pre-War past be of any relevance outside of what the player made of it during the game itself and instead focused on the borderline war between the dominant factions over control of the Commonwealth, obviously this would require changes in the motivations of some of the factions and would probably render the Railroad a useless faction.

>(O) HATE NIGGERS
I didn't know Todd and Raimi were friends

Does anyone actually like Piper, she's got to be the worst companion in the game, at least there's something comical that you can get out of characters like Strong, X6-88 or Cait, but god Piper is insufferable.

Replace people with synths and when there are enough, out himself to the commonwealth as it’s savior and have the synths shill for him

Then introduce the FEV virus as contagious and manufacture vaccines with tracking nanomachines in them so he can track and kill any dissenter against the Institute

Then dump human capital into an AI project to rule the commonwealth and future America..oh wait

What’s so bad about her?

hehe funny monkeys

The railroad is probably the one faction more retarded than the institute
>dedicated to freeing robot people from an underground laboratory when the commonwealth is still being raped by super mutants and raiders
>everyone knows about them, even the poorfags in diamond city know how to find them

She’s a resourceful journalist who wants to make the world a better place and investigate the truth but is shunned for it. That’s not that bad of a character

Sick rpg

She’s the best and most attractive character in the game

Personality wise she's pretty abrasive to be around and not in the same abrasive way as Cait is, like I dunno if it's the VA or the people who directed her but Piper's lines generally just come off pretty dismissive towards the player whereas Cait's much more fun going and gives this impression that there's this back and forth teasing between the player and her that isn't present with Piper.

Also in terms of her character Piper's pretty annoying, she comes off as the Boston stereotype but only the negative attributes of it, primarily being self-centered and having an over-inflated ego. Hell that introduction sequence to her with the whole gate thing and Mayor McDonough really sours her character for me. It strikes me more as her being this nuisance to the city that they don't want since not only does McDonough not like her but the gate guy (forgot his name) seems to be pretty sick of her behaviour as well.

Then there's her plot, out of all the Companions in F4 it baffles me that they put Piper in the main plot but fail to give her an actual personal plot like they do for Nick and to a lesser extent Deacon. The only quest really tied to her is the Q&A stuff where she basically just gets you fill in how the player wants the Sole Survivor's view of the Pre-War to be like and their general attitude of the Post-War, it really has nothing to do with Piper outside of being her newspaper.

Aside from that you get this rather pathetically done backstory for her and Nat that basically fails to actually give much as to Piper's motivations or a reason to care about her.

Most F4 Companions aren't particularly good to being with the best three are probably Nick for his backstory, Danse in terms of being an actual companion to the player and Hancock for being the more laidback buddy companion. Cait, Curie, Strong & Deacon are alright and Codsworth's tolerable but the rest are varying degrees of bad with Piper being the worst of the lot.

Yeah don't get me wrong, their faction is dumb as hell, my point is that at least they have a reason for what they do.

Hello Caitfag

>Nick for his backstory
imagine thinking the 200 year old ghoul is good

> Not Cait
> Not Synth Curie
Piper isn't even the the best looking Companion

The commonwealth already had people dedicated to helping other people. One of them is even a synth.

5 people besieged in a museum by raiders

> Thinking I'm referring to the 210+ year-old Ghoul trash
> Thinking I'm not referring to Nick's conflict as a Synth with the memories of a person
Basically everything about Ghouls in F4 is garbage, the only good Ghoul-related content in F4 is Arlen Glass and it has nothing to do with the fact he's a Ghoul.

>Aside from that you get this rather pathetically done backstory for her and Nat that basically fails to actually give much as to Piper's motivations or a reason to care about her.
she’s an unsung heroine who uncovers the truth and makes the world a better place because of it, but is shunned by the community. It’s not that bad.

She was right in the end though
