Couldve been better due to budgetness messing it up a bit, but still a good fun game in its own right.

Since it's a faithful adaptation of the remake, you can't really separate it from being a remake. The original game was good, but had some bugs. This game fixed those bugs. I feel like the 3D graphics and dialogue wasn't needed, but the improvements kind of balance out with it. The only real negatives of the game are the uncanney character animations and the horrible localization.

tl;dr it's a good game.

Voices Range from ok to really bad. Duran sounds exceedingly meh and off at times. Hawkeye is fine. Kevin sounds like absolute shit and made his retard speak even more retarded and nonsensical. Angela sounds like a valley girl so ymmv but most seem to love it since its done well. Chawwotte speaks wike Ewmer Fwudd so youw miwage may vawy on that, but hew vwoice is fwine just stupwid diawogue. Riesz sounds fine 30% of the time and robotic_and_stalling_lifelessly_for_some_reason 70%, they also gave her a gimmick in never saying contractions so its even more awkward and off, which is a shame since the voice itself is fine.

The Direction on a lot of the voices is lacking, bad, or lazy and it shows. Most notably is the ghost ship where they use a meme voice filter.

i played the SNES version, i just beat it, and i dont have the money for the remake. but i boughht child of light and unholy heights so maybe they will fill the void from how good that game is.

Charlotte and Kevin have speech impediments. And ones that are way more over the top than they needed to be. The English voices are also bottom of the barrel level dub tier. But thankfully you can just switch to Japanese voices. There's also some cringy pop culture references here and there.

While it's not excusable, these are nothing compared to crap we've seen in Dragon Quest or Tales games.
