I was actually about to start this game after I've finished the food I am eating.
But I haven't played the game in forever so I have no new webms or anything to share. Yet anyway.
I feel like the devs have done nothing but nerf anything fun or useful while also making things more obnoxious with every update.
this. it isn't worth any money but it's a neat idea. I hope they actually develop it
maybe people were getting too good too fast. its a testament to the engine though. nothing is more fun than experimenting with wands
Outside of the cursed rock between the west/east-worlds and the wand drop from the desert boss, have anything else been nerfed ever?
This literally should've just been The Powder Toy 2.0 in the Falling Everything engine that literally everyone wanted. The developers completely missed the entire point of why people were hyped for this game. What we got instead was a restrictive roguelite with no actual sandbox mode. This has been one of the biggest missed opportunities for gaming in the past several years.
i think the cursed rock was warranted though. it makes it so that theres a required amount of strength before being allowed to move onto a parallel world
we could get a sandbox mode once the game comes out but for now the engine allows for the smaller intricacies that makes the game so special

Okay but those small interactive intricacies should've literally been accessible and fully experimental as a proper sandbox game from the get go.
Damaging clouds definitely got nerfed, it used to tick on every frame.

The thing I don't like about it is how extremely reliant on HP it is. Like even if you nuke the entire damn wall, the cursed rock vapors will still kill you.
Like if you ever take the vampire perk or worse yet the glass canon perk, then it's like impossible to cross. Likewise you can simply get RNG screwed if not enough health ups spawn.
Like the idea of the cursed rock making it far more difficult to cross than to simply get a black hole I get. But I don't really get why can't get rid of the hurt zone even if you remove all the cursed rock.
Noita being a girl is the bests shit ever,
ambrosia and luminous drill are your friend for crossing the cursed rock. once you beat the tower grab the quick recharge wand and put ping pong path, increase mana, and luminous drill with timer and you can suddenly go anywhere.

Yeah. That's not something that happens without cheating.
I really wish they would remove the shitty gatekeeping of spells based on the current biome you're in. It makes a lot of runs feel samey. The beginning is especially a slog. Oh boy more bouncing balls and torches. Also the long recharge wands are still trash and almost never worth using. Increasing the amount of casts didn't make them any better.

They're a bit rare but I've found plenty of long recharge wands, even in early levels, that shoot 7-14 spells a shot.
Those kinds of shotgun wands aren't bad at all.
But I agree that they should make good long recharge wands more common, because bad long recharge wands are just bad.

yeah they spawn naturally now. you may have to go into the fungal caverns to hunt one down though
IIRC finding orbs for the first time makes some spells show up earlier, but not often enogh to be noticeable
They should really add some minor progress system that lets you get spells from at least one level further down earlier as you beat the game in different ways

this. i can only stomach maybe 3-5 runs per session because going back to the mines after a run that ends in the temple or tower is suicidal level of boring pain. to add it fucking sucks to find a great wand to read that it has like 20 mana recharge on like 400 mana max

They really don't need to be as busted as the mod classes are with the flame mage and whatnot, but it would have been cool if each orb unlocked a starting class or something the first time you picked it up. Allowing you to pick a class with its own playstyle at the beginning.
If the classes are relatively equal to one another it wouldn't "play to win" so to speak, but it would still shake things up.
