for me? it's stax

razer kraken tournament. they're comfortable and the audio is passable. i do miss my fildelio x2s sometimes, but i didn't care for the hassle of using my desktop mic

that looks like a dirt and dust magnet

Whats are cheap but with good overall sound headphones? I just wanna be able to listen to music, films, and vidya with good quality

Depends.
Koss Porta Pro for portables like 3DS/Switch
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless for working or cooking
Sony WH-1000XM3 for hanging out and watching shows/movies
Audio Technica ATH-M50 for listening to music or playing on my PC

Going wireless is the best thing I have done.

Hs50 corsair, pretty cheap (70 aus dollars) and feel like a good quality pair of headphones. They're fine for gaming, and the mic is handy. Volume dial is pretty nice too.
For everything besides gaming i use a pair of ath50x which work pretty well too.

Tried this out in a store and they sounded pretty good for bluetooth. What did you use to hook it up to pc?

It is.

It uses 3.5mm and comes with its own cable.

Arctis 7. Wanted a wireless headset with minimal latency. Transmitter can mix PC audio and Line-in audio so I can chat while playing console games.

Superlux 668Bs are chinkshit that will squeeze your cranium but I got mine new for 30 bucks and they still are showing strong even after 5 years of daily use (and I only replaced them because I wanted to go wireless). They're partially open, which means they have a naturally better soundstage, and it has a dongle dangling right off the headphones, so you can use any length of cable, or a Bluetooth adapter.
Though I will say there are probably newer headphones that you should look into first that fit your criteria.

Are the Steelseries Arctis Pro overpriced honeypots or actually worth a purchase

I mean I didn't buy them specifically for video games but they do a pretty good job for them regardless

G430 just broke. How are these?

These. but I don't do sound mixing

Audiotechnica Mx50s.
Great bass if you use an EQ. If you don't they're good for sound mixing.

some senns hooked up with a boompro. did this for a 558 and 598. been using them for everything for the last 10 years.

I just contemplated this and went ahead and made a purchase

buy some good headphones with a detachable cord you can also use elsewhere and a separate mic

Atom 2 amp and the accompying JDS Labs DAC

Oof, just got off some logitech that were squeezing hardcore into the side of my ears that I'd have lasting discomfort for a few minutes after taking them off.

Literally just bought some Audio Technica M50Xs today, but I'm returning them. Music was pretty good, but trying to listen to movies/tv/anime is an absolute nightmare. They may be good for professional sound mixers and producers, but these cans just fucking give up when dealing with how film and visual media balance audio. Sounds muddy and distorted as hell, can barely make out detail in background music tracks while characters drone on in this oddly bass heavy muck.

HyperX cloudcore with fuzzy cups.

I have a sennheiser 363d headset but it's falling apart. What is a good replacement?

Sennheiser or Audio Technica?

What’s the point of going wireless then

Why didn't you just buy the M40X in the first place?

dt 990 pro

I think the M40s are the professional-oriented ones. I have a pair, but I'm not a professional, bought some aftermarket ear pads so I can wear them for longer than 20m. I can't physically tolerate bass-heavy cans, so they're nice. Get some comfy open-back for games and movies.

>gaming headsets when you can get extremely good headphones and some chick welding store mic for like 50 bucks and have better audio for both
you dips

depends on budget
less than 250, audio technica
more than 250, senn

stop reposting my pic.
