Agreed. /vg/ and /vp/ I can understand because they were actually shitting up the board, but there was no retro game problem on here. All it did was take away the good people. Also means the nostalgia threads on Zig Forums are ruled by late '90s/early 2000s shitters.
The split was a mistake. Taking based /vr/ content off of Zig Forums helped put another nail into this board.

Because with this current site's userbase, it'll end up being 50% 5th gen and 50% 6th gen. All third and fourth generation discussion will disappear. /vr/ at least allows for a little pocket of '80s and early '90s vidya discussion
i dont think discussion would outright disappear by allowing others gens to be added over time i mean console the eighth gen consoles came out in 2013 and you still cant even discuss the original xbox there, i was thinking it would turn more into /vg/ where discussion for certain consoles or gens would be contained to a sort of general
