WoW story is one of the most stupid and irritating story i've ever experienced in any vydia.

suck a dick
S I T O
Just kill the dragon lmao
Never cared for lorecucks
>wow
>story
WoW forces its story down your throat with TBC and Wotlk (i stopped playing after that).
>collect 10 boar asses
deep...
stupid retard. Did you ever main a DK in wotlk? Did you ever raid in TBC?
No, so stfu.
Yeah I stopped caring about lore when they brought Kael'Thas back in TBC. I'm still mad it took them this long to bring Azshara into the game and it had to happen in the worst expansion they've ever made.
>kill 5 guys for some reason
woah... epic lore...
i can do the same with every game
>wow
>Lore
>nelves are part of the alliance
And that's when I stopped giving fucks about WoW lore.
from a gameplay perspective the whole narrative writing has been shit
but if you knew about the lore from the books or predecessors you only really need snippets and iconic imagery to be immersed in-universe. I think wow does a great job at capturing the lore, just not tell it
That's because they have dumb ass women who doesn't know anything about Warcraft writing it, thankfully sometimes they just ignore some of the garbage like Medan.
>collect 15 polar bear asses
wow the lore died with the lich king

TBC absolutely wrecked Illidan and Kaeltas story-wise but the gameplay was so good that it could be ignored.
WotLK had so many issues that poor writing and resolution of major warcraft plot points were a lot more egregious.
Illidan wasn't raped, he was the same character as in wc3. They just did nothing with him beside turning him into a loot pinata.
>Band of green space niggers, cow people, undead which can't reproduce in lore at all without the valks, blue lanky basketball shaman americans
How does the alliance which lorewise is 10 times stronger not whoop these no shoes niggers back to kingdom come?
Warcraft lore really wasn't ever good.
It was always Kitchen Sink Fantasy, if you want any sort of coherent themes or internal consistency, look elsewhere
or just play legion to understand the ilidan plot line also looks like keal plot on tbc will be explained in the upcoming Shadowlands expansion
Pretty much this. They should have just had multiple factions instead of just 2. Undead and Night Elves in their own faction.
The alliance always got BTFO by the horde until last minute plot armor kicked in.
The fact is that in WoW humans are retarded, Dwarves are drunk retards in a quasi permanent state of civil war, Night Elves are irrelevant except for Malfurion and Tyron-da, gnomes are whatever they are, and Draenei kind of just exist.
Shadowlands is literally the sorry we fucked up expansion, gameplay and story wise
This. I'm willing to throw down money that we have a Garrosh redemption plot, the Garrosh had in Stonetalon Mountains.
the Onyxia plot was actually pretty good, and small subplots in various questlines like the one of Arko'narin were decent too
But I have no idea what they were thinking with TBC onwards.
Classic storylineS worked because they were self contained and didn't need to follow an overarching narrative.
Katrana Prestor, the War of the Sands, the dark iron summoning Ragnaros, the emerald dream being all fucked up, introduced very early into the game horde side in the Barrens, etc...
The writing started to get all fucked up when they started to think like book writers instead of video-games writers creating cool storylineS with a climax.
I don't think anyone gives a shit about any of the major arcs of MoP, WoD, Legion OR BFA.
>Competent writing: characters act upon their thoughts/beliefs/personalities, causing things to happen
>Blizzard writing: thing is going to happen this expansion, characters are going to act in whatever way causes thing to happen
The result: a setting with no characters, just humanoid plot devices.
This, the best lore was unironically invented in Vanilla by the artists who thought it up in an afternoon.
That's why all the zones are separate instances that don't connect with each other, right?
Sounds like a mario game
I'd rather have Mario than Battle for Persona
It's just your typical generic American fantasy game.
Legion was okay because the ultimate goal of the expansion was known from the beginning of it
>Sargeras wants to fuck Azeroth
>Keep Sargeras from fucking Azeroth
WoW storytelling shits itself sideways when they try to have that juicy twist at the end of their expansions
>Garrosh goes increasingly power-hungry throughout Mists? OLD GOD HEART!
>Grommash unites an undemonic Horde? GUL'DAN DEMONS THEM ANYWAY!
>Literal world war between the Alliance and Horde? N'ZOTH LOL
